Wow... 😂😂 it seems like yesterday that Jay couldn't stand to see the gore of a Saw movie, turning from the screen, closing his eyes, and almost gagging. Now he's like us - watching with eyes wide open, and as giddy as a child of divorce on Christmas.

First off, Tobin Bell gave an Oscar-worthy performance in this film. I truly believe he deserved an Oscar for it. Second, Jigsaw proves once again that he's not the villain in these movies. He's doing society a favor with his "hobby" as a "life coach".

Finally made it to the movie that made me fall in love with this franchise. 😌 I've been counting down the days to this since you started. Being blown away by this film, and then marathoning the Saw films that I hadn't seen yet was an awesome experience.

Carlos was a 'Key to the Plot', *literally* . Carlos' appeareance as a foreshadow was just so that the movie could end the way it did, because it makes *no sense* why that boy was out *that late* at night kicking a ball around 🤣🤣🤣

Hell yeah dude! I just got home from work just now and ready to watch this reaction. It’s been a long time since you first started this series and now on to X. This one is easily one of the best of the films. Particularly in the top 5 for me personally. If you would had told me then that I’d get emotional and cry during a Saw movie of all things, I’d never believe it. I’m not ashamed to admit that I cried a few times watching it. Hell, even the music reflected on how it made me feel. Charlie Clouser did a good job on showing us the hauntingly beautiful, warm, somber and reflective melodies but still retains his signature Saw moments. The traps in this one were all good in my opinion too. I honestly not sure which ones is my favorite. It’s tied with the eye vacuum trap, the razor wire trap and the brain surgery trap. Such a good movie man! Looking forward to seeing Saw XI next year.

Robert Enguland as John's brother or family member could be an interesting addition. Enguland I feel is a great actor who hasn't gotten to stretch his acting muscles much which was the same for Bell before Saw.

She previously reprised her role in Saw VI (2009). Critical Acclaim Fact: With a 79% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, this is the best-reviewed film in the series. The second best-reviewed is Saw (2004), with 50%. Nosie Complaint Fact: While editing the "Eye Vacuum Trap" scene, editor Steve Forner received a visit from the Los Angeles Police Department after his neighbors reported screaming coming from his office. Continuity Check Fact: The experimental cancer treatment John (Tobin Bell) seeks out in this film is presumably the same treatment for which he sought - and was denied - insurance coverage for in a flashback in Saw VI (2009). Gabriella's trap, if she did her arm first then she'd fall to the ground with yeah a broken ankle but only similar to detective matthews, and she would of been out of the way of the beam.

I used to be a HUGE fan of these movies years ago, but as I got older, the whole gory horror thing just wasn't my thing anymore... that being said,... I kept fighting wanting to watch this movie for a minute, till I thought to myself, if J gotta do it, then I gotta go through it too.

Tobin Bell was fantastic in this! Movie was satisfying, but just okay, in my opinion. I just felt that it fell back into the same poorly written characters and cheap gimmicks that the franchise becme known for in mid-late entries, instead of something fresh and new like the original (or even Spiral, as much as most folks hated it). They accomplished what they wanted to, and I guess gave fans what they wanted, but I guess I was just underwhelmed that folks just wanted *exactly* more of the same. Having said all that, watching this with J, I was loving every minute of it. Darn blast.

This story hits even harder for me. My mother got diagnosed with stomach cancer in March and died in June. She spent £40,000 at an Austrian clinic that claimed they could save her life. Blood suckers and liars. 😢 people like that make me sick

Cecilia told Gabriela to start with her foot on purpose. Had she fallen down, it couldn't reach her. Gabriela really did deserve a better chance.

Amanda had short hair because this chronologically was between part 1 and part 2, where if you remember, in flashbacks, she had short hair.

This, to me, is the best Saw movie of them all. It had more story and still brought the gore. Watching this I kept thinking, we have created a Monster. JL was so excited while watching this, nothing like the JL who watched The Thing. That's a good thing, to me. Sorry to see Slasher Saturday go but, I totally understand why. I completely get John's anger in this one (lost a family member to doctors who were taking advantage of their patients) so understand I do not say this lightly or with much empathy for these characters: A couple of these traps were unfair and needlessly so -- and either John missed some calculations, or he overlooked them on purpose because it was personal. Because the timers on a couple of those traps were way too short, esp when you remember most of these people barely speak English and whatever your level of knowing another language, you need additional time to basically filter all of that information through your first language. The second victim was a good warning of this right off when she was confused at him calling the saw a key. Amanda reads this as "lol you don't understand metaphors" and no -- metaphors exist in most all languages but they're different. When you are learning to speak a new language you learn literal translations before you learn metaphors, idioms, etc. That's advanced.

IIRC this takes place right after the Saw 6 timeframe or after a flashback in Saw 6 but before the conclusion to that movie. Something about a disagreement with his policy, which led to that whole game starting.

(Doing napkin math but on something suspiciously hairy) Okay judging from these calculations, by October of 2026, Jay will be watching Terrifier Four, with the actual Art The Clown, not the actor that plays him, but the actual serial killing clown Art, on his channel. He will also be, if I'm making this up correctly, high-fiving him during the most gruesome kills and wearing one of those dorky little hats.
