I do not have either sensors. But they should work. Radio starts to main home page. For me I have my iPhone connected so it opens the carplay app automatically. It’s running android so you should be able to install an app to auto open the app of your choice at boot

Yes I installed front and backup cam. I might be installing in another vehicle so if i do I’ll make a video. You use the reverse lights for power and then I used the yellow 12v power cable from the HU to connect to the red 12v wire on the camera. This allows the picture to stay steady and provide additionL power that the tail lights cannot provide

@@cs.studios Is it compatible with the original PDC? So if the car has PDC, will the System work with it when you go reverse?

Mine was mostly held by the bottom screws to ac unit

@@cs.studios yes man im debating bro. This bottom mount is like a 25 minute install and only $250. While the idrive or the F body replica is $500+ and hours install.

Did you ever get this fixed? I installed mine and it seems like only the front speakers or the rear speakers work. Not both. When i plug in the rear speakers, we get no audio for the phone calls. So i plugged in the front speakers and it works, but i get no sound from my rear speakers now. The Ext Amp. Button is activated in the eonon head unit settings. Not sure what i did wrong. It seems like we’re missing 2 front wires or 2 rear wires, because it seems like we should have 4 wires all together (comparing the wires to the eonon kit) but the bmw wires only have 2... no front or rear distinction.

I figured out the no audio.. the AUX and the ANT wires were not connected and the EXT Amp button was deactivated.. once I connected the wires and activated the EXT-Amp it started working

I had two optical fiber cables but didn’t have anywhere to place them on radio so I had no sound coming on but everything else worked ..gonna end up returning fitment on the bottle leaves the ac climate hanging so didn’t like it too much but wish I knew where those two plugs when into

Check to make sure blue amplifier wire is plugged in. Also if you have the fiber optic audio you would need the converter

There’s a harness in the box that includes a blue external amp wire. Be sure to connect that. Also if you have logic7 sound you will need the decoder box

Yeah theres a blue wire for “external amp” it needs to plug into the other blue wire provided in the harness kit. Besides that you can decide if you want all the wires or not. I normally only install the essential since there’s wireless carplay anyways

There’s 3 audio systems for e90. Basic, hifi and logic7. Basic and hifi(mine) work plug n play. Logic7 requires the decoder box

No, it gets power straight from the interlock connector.

There’s a relocation bracket eonon sells that replaces your ashtray with a smaller one that integrates the buttons. You can also try using the on screen buttons

Yes it comes with everything. Only exception would be if you have logic7 sound system you need to buy the decoder box.

Eonon has not provided an update for older models as far as I know. You can try contacting them. It’s nice to see the newer model have wireless carplay finally

That frame came with the eonon head unit

I just tucked it in and made sure to electric tape the end to prevent any shorts. It can also be used for the backup cam 12v

The original professional radio sounds better, although you can buy the Android head unit with a better dsp chip. Best sound will come from the premium audio “logic7” sound system

I’d say sound is a bit worse compared to stock. But I bought the standard Android head unit without premium dsp. There’s an equalizer so you can fine tune it to sound close to oem but I haven’t tried any premium dsps.

It looks like this is a newer model compared to what I had. I’d say it’s worth a shot checking to see how it sounds. Seems like they improved everything even display vs old model

It’s been draining my battery every night. And now my dashboard completely stay off.

There’s a timeout option in the settings. I’ll be releasing my eonon full review video hopefully next week mid week. If the radio isn’t working any more maybe something went wrong with it? They have 1 year warranty i believe might be worth a shot getting a replacement

The metal bracket below the head unit? It snaps in. There should be two tabs that snap into the bottom of the head unit

Yes black plastic goes into the metal hole. You need to push it as much as possible and it clicks in. Also be sure the bracket is flipped around, the metal “claws” should be facing forward. Once it’s all assembled, the two screws from the metal bracket will hold the whole thing in. Then after everything is done you can add the two screws on the sides of the lcd display.

The blue amp wire needs to be plugged in. There should be a diagram in the manual. You have no sound if that wire is not plugged in

That’s a good question. Let me get back to you on that. I’ve only used the volume controls. Normally I just say “Hey Siri” and it pops up

Turn off the auto update time and make sure the time zone is correct

It'll keep changing regardless of the settings. I've had mine since February haven't found a permanent solution for the time yet.

Check fuse for the power supply to the headunit

You either need Eonon relocation ashtray or get rid of the button and use the digital one in the Eonon interface.

No. I only used the two screws in the video from the bottom ac bracket. They are enough to hold the whole unit in place. The included screws are useless as they are not the correct size.

Do not ignore the yellow wire. According to Eonon support, our E90 shuts off power to radio when car goes deep sleep. This yellow BATT wire is supposed to run to constant 12V (not to fuse box of which DME could still shuts off) to keep the clock and settings alive. You are to run it to the battery terminal or the jump terminal under hood, both are challenging and could triple the install difficulty.

The yellow wire is positive from the car. It is used to power things. I have my backup camera plugged in there. Never had time issues.

@@cs.studios This is what eonon support wrote me: "BMW E90/E91/E92/E93 cars have a special power protection system. After the system detects that the car has turned off for a period of time, it will enter the protection state and stop powering the unit. You can also connect the yellow "BATT+" wire on the car radio power cord to the car's "BATT+" wire to continuously power the car radio." Please google about terminal 15, 30, 30G, 30GF. This yellow wire should go to 30 which is not easy. There is no instruction manual. The ONLY manual is user manual which mentions nothing about the AMP and ANT wires. Anyways, I still would like to thank you for reviewing this and provided the installation procedures. I am just pointing out issues so that it could be done right for other people. As usual, correct me if I am wrong. I might not have interpret things correctly.

From what I’ve heard, Logic7 does not sound as good. The standard and hifi systems sound almost as good but not as good as original. I feel like my original radio sounded just a bit better but the options to tweak the audio are really good and you can really customize it to your liking

Check the settings such as fader and balance. Also be sure the harness and wires are in all the way

I tried messing with all the settings and I can’t figure it out. I disconnected the harness an reconnected to the factory head unit and everything’s fine so I double checked the wiring and everything seems fine from what I can tell but then still no noise from just that one speaker

Could be an issue with the head unit. Maybe try asking for a replacement.
