Ooty, officially known as Udhagamandalam; is a town and a municipality in the Nilgiris district of the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located 86 km north west of Coimbatore, 100 km north west of Tirupur,128 km south of Mysore and is the headquarters of the Nilgiris district. It is a popular hill station located in the Nilgiri Hills. It is popularly called the "Queen of Hill Stations". It was the summer capital of the Madras Presidency.
We visited the Ooty on 14th July 2023 and this is the first episode of Ooty series. You'll see a cinematic vlog in this series.

I did the same trip a few years back. It's very enchanting . Ooty , Coorg, Kodaikanal, Silent Valley , Mudumali, Munnar .All by road . Not in the same sequence . Tea , Coffee,Spices , Idli Sambar ,Dosa ,Uttathpa., South Indian Lunch on banna leaf Forests , gardens, water falls , Rose Gardens , Lakes . Wild Life . Good deal of cleanliness . Very Nice . A must trip for all.

Hi Yes this is the route with 36 hairpin bends. This route is shorter and the road is good; but you need to be careful while driving.

Hi No nothing like that. If you’re entering through mudumalai tiger reserve, you need to pay very nominal fee within 100 Rs. It will be waived off if your car belongs to Tamilnadu. Somehow I didn’t even pay that because nobody stopped my car, so don’t worry and plan your trip soon. It’s heaven there in monsoon.

Hi You’ll see the full tour and review of the hotel in next episode but for your reference it’s name is Berry Hills resort (maps.app.goo.gl/FeU2ukftyPwsRJJL6?g_st=ic). I paid around 2900/- for a double bed room per night. I booked it through booking.com and the price may differ. Resort is good but the road to access is not very good but it’s short. Food and service was nice.

Hi It costed around Rs 8000 per night for city view rooms in July 2023. Cost may vary depending upon the room type and season.
