What if crash happens and the first thing it hits is the jerry can. Due to friction spark will generate and hit the spilling petrol resulting in fire which is again close to engine causing massive damage.

Hi Sandeep, your rides are motivating. Possible to share tips on long rides as you just keep going. I plan for saddle stay (iron butt) challenge this year. Any assistance from Your side would be appreciated. Thanks

I keep doing Bengaluru Kanyakumari or Bengaluru Madurai runs 500km or 700 km days atleast, the key is to cover as much as possible before the heat kicks in. Leave at 4 am and by 12, you would have covered atleast 70% of your distance. one stop for breakfast and fuel and other stops for hydration+fuel. These breaks should only be 20 mins for meals and 10 mins max for hydration and fuel. Tank to tank you should target. Have a relaxed riding position. Do multiple days like that to get in the groove before these challenges
