hahaha yes! This is when our livers were very grateful for having to drive the tuktuk and not driving at night 😂 but yes, so many beach front bars and restaurants to just hang out and enjoy 😊

Yes you were right it’s a seasonal thing, beaches are rough and windy and that’s why even the fishermen are not going to catch the fish these days in south coast. Best time to visit south coast is December to mid April. There are lot more beaches in south that you haven’t shown in this video. Anyway I Hope you will come back in the season.

@@waysoftheworld_ Ma personal favourite beaches in south coast are Mirissa, Hiriketiya beach, Weligama, Tangalle beach , Goyambokka, Rekawa beach & lagoon, Ahangama ,Kabalana, Midigama, Jungle beach Unawatuna, Dalawella beach, Wijaya beach, Thalpe, Talalla beach, Polhena beach, Hikkaduwa

If you guys have time try visiting Ahangama, Unawatuna and Jungle beach. And of course Secret beach as well Them are quiet nice beaches too. Enjoy Sri Lanka ❤🍻

Our hotel was in Ahangama, but we didn't spend much time on the beach there because we were too busy with the video :) and we did check out Jungle Beach in Galle - if that's the same one you're talking about. It's a little confusing to get down to, but super beautiful!

Best beaches are in East Coast - Arugam Bay, Pasikuda and you can visit Kuamana National Park.

Your travel videos are most refreshing to watch and extremely informative. My wife and I (healthy and relatively fit 65 year olds) are planning a trip to Sri Lanka next year. Do you suggest we just book our flights and maybe the first night accommodation, then book a driver when we get there? By the way- you should have your own travel show on TV or Netflix! You would be a great success.

I would reach out to your accommodation in advance to see if they can arrange that for you. But that's just our opinion, we really don't know much about doing that. Yea we wish we would have visited Dondra lighthouse, but actually we didn't know about it when we were on the southern coast. We made it to the northernmost point of SL, so it would have been cool to have made it Dondra, as well

You can call all this beaches in single word. "RUHUNA BEACH" Down south of Sri Lanka usually called as "RUHUNA"
