Welcome to my little mini series on composition book journaling. Comp books don't need to be so blah anymore. In this first episode, I'll share how to give your book a bit more flair.

I have done this only gluing 2 pages together. I haven't had any bleeding, but I don't do any kind of painting or super wet medium so.... Doing 2 pages also keeps an even number of pages on both sides of the seam....no need to have a random clump of 4. I also over do it with the glue stick.... that's just me though. Love the washi edging. great way to use up some washi tape too.

made this for daugther to take to camp. Every 4/12 page had black and white hearts ,other band W washi patterns and in the hidden pocket were love notes. she decorated her bunk with them and wasnt so disappointed not getting mail every day. Great idea and great memory to keep. All her friends wrote their addresses(email etc) in the back.

You could also washi the pages together. I do 2 at a time. Works for me.

I was surprised how little glue you used to bind the pages. Does this cause bonded pages to pull apart when used with acrylics or watercolors?
