Kanpur is an Industrial town of UP, majorly famous leather and textile goods of fine quality. Kanpur is about 500 km from Delhi, located on the banks of Ganga river.

Lived in Kanpur from 1976 to 1985.Studied 4th std to 12th std. Nice to see it. एक बार कुछ दिन पहले गया था,आधे दिन के लिए,बहुत कुछ देख नहीं पाया। आप ने कम समय में काफी शहर देखा। खाना आदि तो जो है सो है। पर मजेदार है कानपुर के रहने वाले के अंदाज,बस ठेठ कनपुरिया हो। एक अलग बोलचाल,अलग शब्दावली,अलग और अजीब शब्द जो कानपुर की पैदाइश है और शायद उनके अर्थ उनको ही पता होते है वहां थप्पड़ नही कंटाप दिया जाता है। अब बहुत कुछ नया है।मेरी यादें बहुत पुरानी है,35 साल पुरानी।

I too have fond memories of Kanpur.In 1975 my late Papa got transferred to Kanpur I got admission in 6th standard in D.A.V Inter college.Upto 1977 we were in Kanpur.Allen forest Zoo was the best of the zoos I have seen,JK temple,Shivalaya,Parade, Naveen market,juhi,Lal imli mills I remember clearly.We went to see movies like Dharam Veer,Sholay, Amar akbar Anthony,Dream girl etc.Those were the most beautiful days.

my 5 yr old son (your great fan) is regretting after watching this episode.....he was not able to meet you during your Kanpur visit....sometimes he used to call me from other mobile and say : "main apka host Harish bali bol rha huin n main aapke shahar me aaya huin......"

Now I live in Kolkata. I stayed in Kanpur from 1964 to 2009 due to Defence service. I love Kanpur to the core of my heart. I visit atleast once in a year. I only follow your visits in different cities in India. Like very much. Your narration is superb. Keep it on. Dr MCGhosh Kolkata

Harish Bali ji this episode has softened my eyes. Kanpur is my second home, spent 7 beautiful years from 1998 to 2005- full of sweet memories. Nice people, warm hospitality, varities of fruits,sweets, vegetables and many more. Diwali, Holi, Eid, Bakr-id all were equally enjoyable to their fullest extent. Being involved in leather industry, was very close to Tannery peoples. Used to get lot of Subscription from Tannery owners also for organizing Durga Puja. Still Kanpur is very very close to my heart and will always remain as well. Thank you once again.

@@jigggro Kanpuri hindi is obviously different with little trespassing of colocial slangs time to time but I love Agra tone even more - very sweet and touching with different dialect. Only 300 km distance so people from Agra are also settled there in Kanpur. In total UP, due to wide usage of Pan Masala, there is always restriction of opening mouth while speaking. I think this is the root cause of this special tonal accent.

How could you miss Bithoor!!!!!!!!? It's 25 mins from kanpur station. Bithoor is where Mata Sitadevi stayed with Lav-Kush at Valmiki ji's gurukul. There are still hundreds of 9-14 yrs old students learning Vedas, Upanishads, cooking, science, mathematics, history lessons. And how can I forget the Ganges & cucumber field, Brahmavart ghat etc.

I have the fondest memory of Kanpur from December 2019 so a BIG thank you for this video! What was also exceptional about this video is you stayed at the same hotel as I! And I remember Banarasi Chai was only a few hundred meters from the hotel, so I made it a point to visit the tea joint at least twice in a day as long as I stayed in the city. What sets you apart from other youtubers is your gentle demeanor and your ever-smiling face! Best wishes.

What C A W N P O R E used to be in 60s I can not say how it is today. It was not crowded those days. You could hardly find much people on the Mall road and Parade market. Meston road was somewhat busy road. In 1962 I got a pair of shoes manufactured by Lin Brother the Chinese shoe shop on mall road just for Rs.28/-. Today first of you won't get the same quality leather and what to talk of price. It was a very safe city. I have seen women going alone early in the morning when it is still dark for bath on ghats on the Ganges. The most visited place was the lake. The coca cola bottle cost was just a chawanni One fourt of a rupee.
