Ep.1 - Starting a Microbrewery

Saturday 2nd October 2021. I have unexpectedly become the owner of a microbrewery.
We have the equipment, but nowhere to brew.
Here's the beginning of our story at Four Priests Brewery.
Updates will follow as we continue on this adventure!

Good luck to you. I started on the road you are on almost exactly a year ago today ( I ordered 5 x 3.5bbl fermenters from SS Brewtech last year on "Black Friday" (US) (over $25k) and didn't have a brewery location yet). We signed a lease on December 4th and I got to work. My brewery/taproom has been open since April and it is doing well. I wish I would have documented the process with video as you are doing. I have plenty of photos, but no video. Many, many challenges, but it can be done. The biggest challenge of scaling up the brewing process is dealing with IBU's. It takes a LOT longer to cool a 400+ liter boil kettle than a 20 liter one, and the IBU's increase with time at temperature. Again, good luck to you. I really enjoyed the process of building out my brewery and taproom.

Nice little fond of all that brewery equipment just need the space to brew in, look forward to seeing the journey from homebrew to larger scales brewing .

Hello, I fell in love with this channel, I founded. My dream is starting a microbrewery, I am new to brewing even at home. You are an inspiration. Is there a way to sell my small home brews batches to friends and relative I mean like legally. ?

Hi! you cant sell it, trade it or even give it away. Sorry! If it’s consumed by you and your friends or family in your home you’’re probably OK.
