wow...what a special moment to get to enjoy what I missed all those years ago🎶 I'm now almost 78 and that time I was a wife and mother to 2 girls and a cat. I had to work along with my husband due to many medical expenses and everyday expenses so there never was any time to kick back relax and enjoy TV or anything else for that matter. Now I'm A widow and getting to watch "The Midnight Special" on KZfaq... which was unheard of back then. There wasn't any electronic devices. The only thing we experienced like living in todays world was a cartoon on TV called "The Jetsons"...who knew !! I just wished my husband was alive to watch it with me. If he was living tomorrow is his Birthday he'd be 81🎂 so Thank You again for sharing with us all watching some of the best entertainment Bye from Ohio

I don't know how many people watched till the end, but Rare Earth goes off at the end, the lead singer drummer switches kits with the percussionist, who knocks over the main mic, then the lead singer grabs the mic in front of the drum kit, keeps singing, goes into the crowd and has them singing, then gives the mic to a random dude in the middle of the crowd who starts singing like he's part of the band, while the singer/drummer just walks away and starts drumming on stage again. What a performance.

THANK YOU! This is like going to your favorite neighborhood bar to see some fantastic live music. Imagine that, real talent, these artist actually sang "LIVE", with minimal enhancements for vocals with their natural voices. There is nothing better than live music with natural sounding voices and real instruments. Now that's TALENT! This was such a wonderful time for music in those days. The Midnight Special was way before it's time. It was like watching MTV, except it was live. This brought back so many great memories of my teen years, during a time that was less chaotic. Thanks for the upload. This is a treasure.

Damn those were good times. We just don't have people with such talent in this day and age.

I was only 15 when Super Fly came out and one Friday night my mother and I packed up a bunch of snacks and some crush sodas and went to the drive in to go see it. The soundtrack was great if you've never listened to it. Actually, everything that Curtis Mayfield did was great including when he sung with the Impressions.

What the kids today don't realize is alot of the older people are also watching this for the first time because for most of us we weren't allowed to stay up this late or if you're 18 at this time you don't really want to be watching TV on Friday night.

Amazing. The talent lineup. Rare Earth, walking out into the audience, handing off the microphone to the audience and walking around playing the drums 🥁 on stuff. Lol. Never happen today. 👍💯😎🎶🎵🎸🔥
