Thankyou..you can enter the temple during 3:30am to 12 pm in the morning shift. The main sanctum where the deity resides opens for short time slots. We were there at 10:30 and went around the whole corridors and other areas then waited in a queue till 11:20 when the inner sanctum opened. The Darshan takes a few seconds as the sanctum is small and people very quickly enter from one door and leave. Evening 5-8pm they say you can have better darshan but there is a ticket for the darshan. .. enjoy your stay

Auto charge was around 800 for Azhimala and Poovar Yes you can visit temple early in the morning and then go to Azhimala and Poovar

Hi great.. sorry I don’t have the number of the auto driver… the Poovar backwater ride costed around 1300 for a 2 hour ride which includes the stop at the Poovar beach.. you can see their rates on their website .. “Poovarboating” .. call them to book…they might give a discount.

The auto costed around Rs. 800 for taking us to two places.. Azhimala temple and Poovar... The backwater boat ride costed rs. 1300 for a 2 hr ride .. The rates might change according to season. For boating you must contact the ppl by phone and ask for a discount. The on the spot charges at Poovar are high.. Hope this helps

They charged Rs. 1300 for 2 hr boat ride when we called and booked discount ke baad. Best is ki aap call karke book karein

We had agreed to give Rs. 600 to go to Azhimala temple and Poovar island but since the gentleman waited for us while we went out for boating, we paid Rs. 800 for the to and fro trip.

Thanks. It will be too hectic to cover everything in one day. Poovar is far from Trivandrum city and temple visit is also restricted because of timings.
