But in reality the name "Saturn" was the old name of our star, the sun. Saturn/satan/ to sit in place/ - as the sun was always/regularly rising/setting, until a calamity (meteor, comet, etc) and no Sun for a couple of thousand years or so scientists, astronomers, etc claim nowadays. When the "new" sun came out from within the cloud coverings, it was given a new name of "Amun Ra" or "Osiris" (original name of Zeus) etc. Later on, as the indo-european lingo settled in Egypt and subsequently spread across the Mediterranean thru the greek dorians, old names of the moon and sun were given to newfound planets that we had eventually discovered. sorry for typos, if any... writing fast.
