OMGosh, so cute your swimmer doll. A bathing beauty for sure! Plz make her male counterpart with the swim ring and goggles? Oh, so cute! Your cat is near perfect. The head does look a little square'ish (but very true to the drawing). Think of it like a lump of clay, to be molded and shaped. OVERstuff the head and roll it in your hands like a BIG cookie ball until it becomes the shape you desire. Just my 2 cents worth of ideas... 😅 Love and respect, Mary Jo from Texas

Hello Mary Jo (can I just say that I'm super excited to know the name behind 'Creative2716' 😊). I guess to complete the Summer set, I really should make that cute boy pattern with his swim ring, and he is a very easy make. Luckily I usually overstuff my toys, so I could try and reshape the head a bit. I do think that I will still make another cat, using the original cat pattern I wanted to use for the mushroom cat (from my all time favourite amigurumi books 😉).

I’m picturing your daughter’s horrified stare at the bar of soap 😂 I just know it’s the exact same stare my friend’s kid had when he was trying to figure out where the USB port was on a cassette tape that I showed him a while ago 🤣 Such ancient artefacts. Feeling like a fossil now 👵🏻… Absolutely BEAUTIFUL makes yet again, Cassandra 💞👏! Such a flipping adorable little bag! Loving the colours on your little bear 💗 and of course your execution is 100% perfect 🥰 That little neck bow is almost too much for my cuteness levels to handle. Your bathing beauty, absolutely STUNNING ✨💕! The little floaties!! 💛🥹💛 Thank frig for superhero husband being at the ready to rescue her if needed 🦸‍♂👏! Awwww your mushroom cat is coming along beautifully 🥹❤🍄! What about having the little guy hold the round mushroom cap? Perhaps he just gets a little too warm with it on his head? (I’m grasping at straws here 😂💕) I’m just about to send you my Mushroom Cat pictures 🥰 I enjoyed the challenge SO MUCH 🍄💕 Thank you for hosting such a fab challenge, lovely 😘❤! Hi Cassandra, happy Sunday! Your doll is fabulous! I thought she was so pretty. Great job on her and your cat in the blue overalls. I too had trouble with my mushroom hat. I tried a few ideas, but ended up with a hat that covers the ears. I'm finished but need to get some photos. Hopefully we will get some sun over the next few days, so I can take pictures outside. It rained here Saturday and Sunday, so next week it is. The first time I made a UK pattern, I didn't realize it was different. I gave up when my amigurumi in DC didn't look like the photo. I soon learned the difference, and now it's like I don't even see the DC anymore, just like you. Have a super week Cassandra! Looking forward to seeing every ones cats!

Hi Cassandra, beautiful work as always. That cat is so adorable! I saw your Instagram post showing the Wonderful World of Amigurumi and I had to buy it lol. The patterns in the book are so so cute! I love the little mushroom hat doll. Your little bear is really cute as well. We started using bar soap at our house. It is sort of messy but it lasts so much longer than liquid, and no plastic waste. I tried using shampoo and conditioner bars, but I don't like them. My husband uses them, I guess it works for him because he has less hair than me. I'm working on a Ninja Turtle doll for my little four year old grandson.

Hi Cassandra, I used the mushroom on the square head. I used the exact same stitch count. My problem was with getting holes for the ears. Since reducing the plastic I buy, I've used soap bags. I can recommend. Your doll is very pretty. I laughed out loud about your husband being on standby to catch her! 😅😂😊❤

Very good to know about the mushroom cap that will fit! I might just try it. I am also struggling with making holes for the ears, so might have to look at some hat patterns to see how holes for ears were made on them, and then see if I can do the same on the mushroom. Worst case, I might sew ears on the mushroom cap, so that when the cap is on the head you see ears, and when the cap is off, you also see ears (those on his head). I will have to sleep on this one...😅
