This is one of the best podcasts by Smita Ji. General Shukla and Colonel Bakshi explained things in a beautiful manner, Colonel Bakshi spoke less and I felt it was out of respect for General Sahab, it also shows the discipline and respect of seniors in the Army , it was truly admirable. What intrigued me was the point General Sahab raised about how beautifully the attack was orchestrated , the attackers and their handlers must have done immense research on the ground to understand the flaws in Israeli defence. There is a good saying that "We should learn from the mistakes made by others". India is a huge country and if we are hit then the numbers will be huge.

When Col Bakshi told about Sleeper Cells and 5000 Pakistanis who came to watch cricket match in 2011 being missing makes me remember a scene from Akshay Kumar movie Sooryavanshi where sleeper cell was in India for 10yrs and also came to India to watch cricket match.

This is certainly the most engrossing episodes ever, not just because it is very relevant to these times, but honestly, the wisdom of these two career professionals brings chills. The stark reality of our times, as far as national security is concerned, should be bred, cultivated and fused into our ethos. While the Israel tragedy is heart wrenching, the lessons learnt can enrich a whole generation of espionage and counter espionage professionals. It is the duty of every Indian to be watchful of lurking dangers, and with the talent and the spirit of enterprise that we have, it is necessary for us to induce a high sense of security and watchfulness during our daily lives.

Exactly same happened in Israel, terrorist came to music festival venue, agricultural field, street and started shooting and kidnapping civilians. Also in 26/11 and in Israel attack civilians were held hostage, this didn't happen in 9/11. So 9/11 is not at all similar to attack in Israel. 26/11 is similar to attack in Israel. In the West and in the US we need to pay attention to this to broaden our understanding and world view. Thank you for your quality programming. Every time I listen to a serious national security conversation it is mind-boggling. It's fresh and gives you a new/broader perspective. I was really hoping to hear a game plan for how a civilian can contribute but I think that is one of the thinks that we (as a nation) needs to learn and find out.

Just watch the ease and fluency with which Gen Shukla puts across his thoughts which appear quite complex to a layman. Such coherent thought process is an outcome of deep knowledge and decades of commitment. On one hand we have ministers who find it difficult to speak on matters related to their own portfolio and on the other hand we have our Army Veterans talk so fluently on matters concerning other nations with sound reasoning. Hope this wonderful effort on part of Ani and Smitaji reaches Modiji. Kudos to all of you and Jai Hind!

Is it only meant for people who understand Hindi or also for others? If the English podcasts are intended for Non Hindi speakers, please keep it only in English. If not, why do you need to do it in English at all? Do the complete show in Hindi.

There was no Mossad intel failure. The Netanyahu govt deliberately allowed Hamas agents to cross the border and commit atrocities. This has given lsrael the excuse it needed to obliterate Gaza, although not Hamas leaders who are safely esconced in Qatar and other havens. It has rallied the israeli public around his ruling party of war mongering extremists, and put an end to street protests. Brilliant move, Bibi. Congrats for pulling off this feat.

I agree that Iran might have something to do with this attack on Israel. Saudi Arabia was in the process of normalizing relations with Israel, and then there was the G20 success of building the India-Middle-East-Europe economic corridor. Iran probably wanted to stop these developments from happening and now they have probably succeeded in achieving this.

I think they addressed it towards the beginning when Gen. Shukla said in hindsight they (intelligence agencies) have all the dots but they didn't connect at the right time when needed.

I like Smrita Prakash as a reporter. Specially this format of interviews is amazing. The environment is calm and peaceful (Arnab Goswami 😂 is also amazing but you never know when he is going to explode). The complications and details were absolutely amazing. The honorable guests are absolutely incredible. Funny thing is how they are romanticizing the planning of the attacks 😂. Of course what happened in Israel was terrible. I think this was a deeper dive into what happened than any other platform or news agencies.
