Continuing through Patagonia towards Ushuaia, this was the most challenging day of the entire expedition! There is an alternative route with a gas station in Gobernador Gregores, but we chose to make a long journey of 600 km along Ruta 40 without the support of gas stations or restaurants, to the town of El Chaltén, the land of the incredible Mount Fitz Roy.
The legendary Ruta 40 is beautiful, but it is not paved, with a long stretch of rubble. To add to the challenge, there are many animals on the track.
We had a barbecue on the edge of a beautiful river, with very strong Patagonian winds and a biting cold! Check out how this unique experience was!
