In 2008 an infantry platoon was well equipped with a precision rifle, a 60 mm mortar, and a belt fed automatic weapon. Nowadays an infantry platoon is far better off with a shit load of drones and some autoloading shotguns. You don't need sniper rifles, belt feds, rocket launchers, artillery, mortars, etc when you can just kamikaze cheap drones into targets.

Served 3 years as a infantryman, i wanted to see action so bad !! That why i joined the infantry. After 3 years, no action, i was over it.
