Nice tips Jason. I would also add that eating out very frequently can burn a big hole in our pockets. Cooking at home is always better(financially and health-wise) than eating or ordering out in the long run. Secondly, have certain amount of base money always saved as emergency fund in your bank account. For example, always ensure your bank account will have at least $3000. This is the rainy day money that you should never use for buying anything. Only use it when you have emergency(like medical emergency or something). Thirdly, don't just save money by keeping it in your bank account. Inflation will reduce the value of that money in a few years. Better to put that money into assets like Stocks or Mutual Funds or Real Estate where their value can grow. Oversimplified Example:- Onion costing $1 per kg today, will cost $1.5 per kg next year. If you saved $10 today thinking that you can buy 10 onions next year, you can only buy 6 onions next year as the onion price has increased but your $10 is still $10 only. Instead, if you invested that $10 in some stocks, their value would have grown. You can then sell those stocks next year to get $15, allowing you to buy 10 onions.
