You got it Dave - respect is the only way forward. Bring on Dylana ! Ban the a**holes (if there are any) - I think that the true gear addicts that we are, are completely non-judgemental - she makes great gear, thats all that counts. May Dylana be happy !!

At 1:00:00 talking about kids. We have to raise and teach our children everything we can and in return they teach us patience. Great patience. A lot a damn patience!

Shawn's advice on learning vocal melodies and applying that to your lead playing is SO helpful.

yes that is very good practice i have my students play to karaoki tracks of their fav tunes. and when practicing vocals to have one tune that is just a bit out of their range

I’d like to add my thumbs up for having Dylana on the show. I will be supportive. I feel the important thing is she is happy and we will be welcoming. This should be an inclusive welcoming community. 👍🤘🏻🎸👍🤘🏻🎸👍🤘🏻🎸 (edits are only trying to get her name spelt right. Pet thing of mine - get people’s names right! ). Great show as always!

I've loved everyone you've had on so far fella's and honestly, had no clue who some of them were until I listened to the show. So get Dalayna on! I 'd love to hear her stories. Gear addiction knows no gender. She's found happiness in her world and that is outstanding! Shawn seems like a hell of a nice guy too!! Love when he's on.

Does that crate have a celestion, I have an old crate that does, it's a 12" 75 watt discontinued celestion speaker with an open back cab too, loud as hell, these amps get a black eye,but they can sound pretty good for certain stuff to me.

If Dylana can help us learn about amp design and gear, the other stuff doesn't matter at all. I am told her amps are killer (i'd love to play one myself). Bring her on and let her educate us!

Jamie Scott was, and Dylana is, an absolute GENIUS with amps and a great player that makes some of the most awesome amps around. EveryoneLovesGuitar has an awesome interview with her at their channel. Please have her on...it will be a REAL EDUCATION in amps and tone that your audience will love, I'm sure of it. Great Show with Shawn! Also, I remember Mickey Ratt in High School, and then later in Hollywood when they added this hotshot kid named Warren and changed their name...LOL!

Tone-Talk I think an answer may bring on more questions so I’m gonna settle with I love Tone Talk, Shawn T is a killer player and genuine great guy and that 3rd Power amps are some of the most in your face dynamic quick response amps I’ve had the pleasure to play. Bring her on. I’ll be watching. In addition they are making pickups that are getting some attention.

Bring Dylana on the show. If anyone has issues you just ban them as soon as they start spewing

Justin Johnson is the guy with the shovel guitar. I met him when doing a service call and saw the shovel guitar. Of course I had to look it up when I got home.

Ian Thornley is the slide guy for me. I love his approach. I love all those other guys too but Ian just kills it for me. Some Jon Brion love. Awesome. I did a session where the engineer was gridding my track as I was doing it. I said “are you fixing my track before we have even listened to it?” It is a new world and I don’t love all of it.
Bring on Delana and I and happy that she is happy as well. I hope we get to a point where nobody cares anymore as long as someone is happy and in love it's all good.

I still cry when I think about someone who was in Jamie's (as distinct from Dylana's) situation and committed suicide due to truly horrific treatment by her family and local community. Her online community, by contrast, gave her a powerful service within her favorite game.

I guess it's related, since I was banned a week from Thegearpage for the 3D Power Amps thread. The reason was more or less "stepping on someone's private life". First of all I have to say I would love to have Dylanna on the show, not only because her Kitchen Sink amp seems to be stupidly awesome, but also she seems a nice person and I would love to know more about her amps. And I know this is a very difficult and touchy topic, but I think having no conversation at all does a disservice to everybody. I'm more than happy to see people identify themselves with whatever gender they are happy with, because that is your lifestyle choice, your personal right to live your life as you want and not be discriminated for it. That's awesome and a right you have to cheerish in any so called free society. On the other hand I think we all can agree gender biology it's an objective truth and if you are born one way or the other, then biologically that is never going to change from a biological point (not at least with the actual level of technology we have). What I did was respond to someone who said that was great to see a female doing demos of gear, pointing him out that she wasn't a female, but a trans (that person thought that Dylanna was literally a biological female). And I actually think that's even more exceptional, since trans people doing demos or making amps is even far more rare than biologically female players. Apparently the use of the word trans was like insulting the mothers of some people there, and they became greatly agitated. I don't think saying that someone is trans constitutes stepping on his/her private life, when it's something you can see by just looking at the person and even in the thread was made clear Dylanna was originally called Jaime. And also I don't think that saying someone isn't biologically a female, but a trans, constitutes a disrespect of the person at all. I think trans people are people too, so why treat it like it's a negative term? I can understand that there are people that know her personally and want to protect her because they know the pain she has gone through. And I hope she is happy with her new identity and can have an awesome life doing great amps. But sometimes there is too much hysteria and things get blown out of proportion and people start to call you names just because you don't want to throw out of the window everything we know about biology and human physiology. If having the radical notion that trans people are people apparently makes me a transphobe, then so be it.

I hope Dylana comes on, whenever it can happen.

I am also pro person, I think we should let people believe what they want to believe, and think what they want to think. As long as I am not forced to say anything, or do anything in support of it, and as long as that person isn’t hurting anyone, I don’t care what they do.
@MrWolf51505 жыл бұрын
I've only just caught up with the 3rd Power section of the talk. I had no idea of the background and while I'm personally not a fan of this sexuality business, this forum has nothing to do with her/his personal life. Its about the amps and I'd be very interested to hear her opinions and knowledge. You must be respectful and if you cant then I hope Dave and Marc have an instant way to block anyone who isn't respectful.
