The Friends hop on a Zoom call with Raúl Esparza, where Jose manages to hide his excitement and act like a professional. The four-time Tony nominee, and Law and Order: SVU cast member, has been doing a lot of virtual theatrical experiences, including hosting the Stephen Sondheim birthday special, Take Me to the World, and doing a monologue from his kitchen. Esparza talks about getting type-casted and how he hopes the theater of the future will be cheaper. This weekend, he will be doing a live reading of the comedy Tartuffe, produced by Molière in the Park.

I fell down the Raúlbbit hole and have been binging KZfaq videos of Raúl for five days straight. I need help. I might need rehab. Or Raúhab. God, I even have his audiobooks, I simply cannot get enough of hearing him talk 😭

What a great interview. Not only is Raul a wonderful singer, actor and so articulate, he also has a close sense of family. He knows who he is and that’s so rare to see, especially in show business. Open, honest and funny.

Raul had me the moment I watched and heard his beautiful vocals in his "Hallelujah" performance. And then when I heard him speaking Spanish in an interview. Forget it, I then fainted...

Im one of these persons who only knew him from SVU and now , I found out so much great things regarding his theatre/broadway life and I really love that. thanks to Law and Order SVU that I was allowed to discover this artist! many greetings from germany. !!!!! Raúl you are great , gorgeous, love you!

Raúl Esparza has helped me so much with his interviews and all his work. He inspired me to go back to my art., I'm a singer and author who gave these things up for too long.

As a person born of a Spanish dad and a white mom and given a Hispanic name, I'm constantly faced with people saying I'm just "white" or not "Mexican" enough. NO I'M NOT MEXICAN AT ALL. I feel you Raúl, be loud and proud!!!! Also, Rafael was Cuban! I'm just saying.
