Would be neat to some how mount the cam in the left seat to give the true pov. Awesome videos. Do you have a patron account?

Great video as always! That 360 cam is the future of KZfaq for sure. While establishing two way communication with the tower (when it's open) allows you to enter the airspace, have you ever had an instance where you were asked to stay outside of the Delta? I would also like your opinion on asking for VFR Flight Following: 1.) Is that the correct term to even call it? I have read that it was called something else by controllers, but they put up with us calling it Flight Following because of its rampant use. 2.) Would it be better to initially call Ground with your VFR request prior to taxi or call up APP/CTR after leaving the Delta?

+MaLsR1586 Certainly have been told to remain clear of the Delta, when they are super busy or if there's been an incident on the ground. One time was a pilot that couldn't find the airport because it was directly below him, he would not fly the assigned headings given to him, thus they directed all other aircraft to leave the delta until they could get him on the ground.

+MaLsR1586 VFR Flight Following is the proper term, I typically call up ground control if leaving a Delta airport and put in the request with them, makes the airborne workload a lot less and no guessing what frequency to call when airborne. Either way works, just my $0.02. Happy Flying!

+FLY8MA.com Flight Training Thanks for taking the time to respond. I like to request on the ground as well for the same reasons you mentioned.

I also use the term VFR flight following, but will admit my initial call-up to ground control goes like this.... "Wiley Post ground, Cessna 2099D at Atlantic with information Delta, ready to taxi, departure to the west with RADAR SERVICE". Believe I heard an instructor say that & the tower knows what we're asking for.

Great videos and instruction. You mentioned something about a scanning for traffic rule you use, something like 10 degrees, 10 seconds". I couldn't hear clearly even after replaying a few times. Can you reply with your traffic scan procedure again, please? Thanks!

Generally I look at about a 10 degree segment of the sky for 1 second at a time looking for any relative motion or peripheral movement. That usually works pretty well for me, and most pilots usually use some variation of that.

What is the fuel pump for. It seems like that should always be on. Why do you turn it on during landing and takeoff
@fly8ma.comflighttraining199
@fly8ma.comflighttraining199 5 жыл бұрын
There's an engine driven pump (runs always) and an electric pump as backup, You only run the electric pump on takeoff and landing since that would be a very bad time for the engine driven pump to quit when you're close to the ground.

At 5:42 she really enjoyed some wind coming from the open window and at 6:09 too. That is the Beautiful shot of an info-overloaded trainee. Just beautiful... At 6:33 she just happy that she can something to do and be somehow important for this flight. At 6:49 there are really happy sparkles on her face. She liked the joke. At the end seems like she got some relief. I guess it is because the flight is over. It is amazing how females are able to be attractive even in the most uncomfortable situations! I hope she is has a success in her career as the pilot and I wish for her clear skies in it.
