My favorite quote is: "Chance favors the prepared mind." I don't know where it originated, but I think it goes along with your theory. At least it works in my world!!

I firmly support your theory! Last weekend we went to an adjacent town for their huge Community Garage Sale, 134 houses listed with more houses just capitalizing on the shopping traffic. I had a list of seven things I was particularly looking for. I found none of them. I did find other good stuff, and we had a nice lunch at a good cafe, but nothing on the list. As the afternoon passed, piles of things appeared at the ends of driveways, with big FREE signs, and we could drive along checking for something we didn't know we needed. I'm sure there were many pairs of bedside lamps!

Good morning Anders & Jenny, I think I am now up-to-date with all your videos, from the start to present, I retraced and found this one number 50 which I watched and as all the previous ones I so enjoyed the journey. If I had to go to a brocante, I would go with quite a bit of money, very open minded to see what is available at what price. I would literally budget on my tour around the facility. To find what you wanted is a very rare thing. You must be extremely blessed. We do not have Brocantes here, perhaps a second-hand store, which is so bad I'd rather just go and buy new. We have a good quality Store whom was having a summer sale and the goods were marked down by almost 50%, it was good quality and the stuff I bought are much loved and used, so that was a good one. Looking forward to the oncoming videos, I am sure I will not be disappointed as going by the quality of the previous videos they were good quality, clear pictures, just sometimes I lost the sound, alas, that is not the worse that has happened. Have a most enjoyable day, perhaps enjoy the sun loungers with a cool glass of wine and a couple of snacks. The apple cake/crumble Jenny baked looked super delicious. Kind regards, Elize.

Hi Elize, Yes it’s very importent to budget when going to Borcantes, as sometimes one can get a bit carried away, but then again, you’ve got to be ready to snap up those really fantastic opportunities when they arise! I use my own theory/method with some success. Top secret method, of course.... This theory/method has bagged me a longed for pasta machine, a heavy weight one as wished for, and two weeks later a highly necessary pasta drying rack. I am bursting with happiness!

@anderskallmark7297 As long as you do not tell anybody..... I just asked the managers of the secondhand shops if they can keep an eye out for a heavy pasta machine. I learned that communication does bear fruit. One week later (!), I became the happy owner of such a machine for very little money. It can produce lasagna sheets, spagetti, and taglatelle. I applied the same 'method' for the pasta drying rack complete with tool to catch, e.g., the tagliatelle coming out of the pasta machine in order to place it carefully on the drying rack. I never knew that such a tool existed or that it was necessary. You need a drying rack with the pasta machine. I spent very little money in total. I can happily declare that I am an active anti landfill person. I'm deleriously happy with it all (and a little surprised), as you must be with your finds.
