I fought for years to be diagnosed with thyroid issues. I was labelled a hypochondriac. I tried to commit suicide several times and was hospitalised, I had all the symptoms you talk about. I was in such pain and only in my 20s, which was not right. I didn't want to get out of bed. I eventually researched this myself and went to see a doctor who was 'alternative'. In fact, he had warnings from the BMA. He concluded that my issue was thyroid-related. I had nodules on my thyroid as well. When I started the thyroxine it was like a switch was turned on. I was later also diagnosed with SLE and have just recently been going through a horrific menopause. I was not initially allowed to go on HRT due to having 'antiphospholipid syndrome'. It's been a roller coaster. My doctors are still playing with my thyroxine levels. Seems I do not absorb any hormones well. Your work is SO important and I am so grateful to you for sharing all this information.

Dr. Tyna - I’m sooooooo glad you’re back on KZfaq!! I recently started eating an animal based diet (lots of fat and red meat), and it seems to be transforming a few major issues, including low thyroid symptoms, anxiety, and bad digestion. Hope to hear more of your thoughts on this topic in terms of animal based foods vs other.

My free T4 has been 0.8 since 2018. This year I’ve had a lot of symptoms and my doctor says everything is normal. I also have rheumatoid arthritis. Should I be treated for hyperthyroidism?

Well could be an underlying cause of both conditions. Biotoxin such as Mold exposure, bacteria, Lyme and or Covid

Hi Dr Moore, thanks for this informative video. I'm curious about something-I too drank, smoked and ate badly as a young woman, I do have hashi's but what interests me is all my mates were in the same boat but none of them got hashi's-would that be luck of the draw or would something stress/trauma related in my life have kickstarted auto-immune problems? We all have some stress but I suppose not all have trauma as such;) Thanks

Stress is 100% the cause of hashimotos precipitation and genetics as well! Even if u have genetic predisposition it can only occur of u go through a period of extreme emotional and mental stress with a feeling of insecurity chaos and hopelessness

Good analogy with the shoe sizes - that’s exactly what’s going on! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been to the doctors with hypothyroid symptoms with rising TSH levels now at 4.4, still deemed “normal” and I just get gaslighted all the time. 29:15
