It's our first week on the road as we make our way to Daylesford for some much needed R&R and explore this beautiful part of Victoria before heading for the coast with a few days in Warrnambool.
We explore all around along the coast of South West Victoria, visiting Tower Hill, Port Fairy, Yambuk and Portland all the while getting used to living in, setting up and packing down the caravan.
Look out for our drone compilation video showcasing some of the amazing drone footage we've taken so far... will be released during the week!

Hey Mitchell. Glad you’re enjoying it! Yes, the Northern accent hasn’t disappeared, even after 10 years here in Aus. I used to go to Derby a fair bit when I lived in Nottingham. Not quite as glam as Noosa though!! 😂🤣😂🤣 We’re looking forward to seeing Noosa in a month or so! Thanks, Hannah 🤩

Haha - thanks so much LadySusan Jane. Still figuring out the whole video editing thing. We've only been using Premiere Pro for a few months now, and the sound level is a tricky one when combining loads of footage from different sources... :-)

Thanks fr levelling out the sound, it makes viewing so much more pleasurable when you don't have to suddenly dive at the volume control or worse yet , yank the headphones off your head. Great first video!!

Now we get itchy feet. We are not taking off for another few years for our big lap, also travelling with our dog. I am glad I came across your channel, seeing you just started your lap. So exiting. Thank you for your channel. Enjoying it a lot. May I ask how long was between handover and and actually leaving for you trip? You mentioned your caravan took 9 months to build. Our new caravan is being built in Melbourne also and with the current lockdown all work has stopped. We hope to get ours at the end of the year. So I guess it’s pray for contact tracers and hope there are less silly people in Melbourne than Sydney….ha!

Thanks for watching! Well the actual caravan only took 5 days to manufacture, we were just in a long waiting list for 9 months... this was due to work being stopped from lockdowns for over 2 months...we left on our trip about 2 weeks after receiving the caravan from Crusader!

Haha well they had a lot of backlog! But I think it usually only takes them this long to build them! It’s amazing how quickly they do it!

As newbie caravanres, first tip from experienced campers/caravaner's leaving a dog alone in a locked caravan is a big No No...........apart from the possibility of something happening to the van and the dog not being able to escape, a barking dog in a van will soon get some very harsh words from other campers. Finally many caravan parks prohibit the leaving of pets in locked and unattended vans...... many caravan parks can recommend pet minders........

You worry to much mate, as long as he has fresh air, water and some nibbles he'd be fine for a couple of hours.

Thanks for the tip ozmid40scouple. It's not on the video, but we did actually ask our caravan park neighbours (who we got on really well with) to keep an eye on him while we went out for exactly that reason. We are very lucky in the fact that Archie isn't a barking dog - infact sometimes its a struggle to even get him to bark on command (as you'll see from the end of the video lol!) I don't think he can be bothered - seems like too much effort for him!

Ironing clothes when camping? Who are you having to impress? You're not in a business environment where first impressions count guys! Who cares if your "t" shirt has creases in it, after an hour, they're gone anyway! lol

Haha I (Chris) asked Hannah the same question and wasn't sure why we needed an iron, since buying it, we have not used it ;)
