On my H1 (party bus) I am running a National Lunar dual battery system as well but the gray box. It has a solenoid, 1 input and 1 Anderson output. Inside I have a 105ah deep cycle battery. I use the Flexo Power 444 whenever I need an inverter. This powers a 40 litre Camp Master fridge (i love this fridge). One day when I am older I will habe the green box, a solar panel and an 80 litre fridge. My car is a 9 seater (comfortable when 6 people travel with 2 people per row of seats) so 80 litres will accommodate everyone's refreshments.

Awesome vehicle you now have and some great video productions detailing the build. One of the best channels on KZfaq. I missed the Jimny but can now see why you upgraded to the Hilux. It does seem a lot of cash to spend on a secondhand vehicle but I am sure your enjoyment will outweigh the expense. Look forward to seeing your adventures. All the best from the UK.
@RoamOverlanding3 жыл бұрын
Well the point of this for me is to see what type of vehicle you could get for the same price as a new vehicle. So something reliable like a hilux is no problem to buy secondhand with some mileage on it. Plus most of these accessories can be transferred over to a newer one if you want to sell the older vehicle 👍🏻

Loving the build mate. Im contemplating a dual battery setup at the moment and was looking at an AGM under the bonnet. Would prefer lithium but am still a little cautious about this despite companies insisting their batteries dont mind the high temperatures.
@RoamOverlanding3 жыл бұрын
So what also happens is that most dual dc-dc systems will not charge over 50 degrees celcius. So you also won’t get reliable charging with an under the bonnet setup. Lithium is also very temperature sensitive, and doesn’t really work with a Solenoid charging system. So you’ll be much happier with an internal setup and a dc-dc if you want lithium

@RoamOverlanding2 ай бұрын
The green box already has a dcdc in it which is voltage sensitive so will only kick in when your front battery is charging. But bear in mind that includes ac/dc charging not just the alternator. If you need to charge the front battery make sure to switch off the green box

hello I have a NL green box (25A) unit and I want to replace. And where I live I have very limited access to AGM batteries. I’m currently looking for the largest battery available that will fit in this unit? According to the spec sheet: * Max battery size : 325mm x 180mm x 280mm (L x W x H) * I’ve read in couple of posts on 4x4 community that some NL green box owners were able to fit up to 342 x 173 x 220mm (W x D x H) and 330 x 175 x 195mm (W x D x H) Can you please help to confirming what is actual max I can go in the NL green box Many thanks for any input.
