Beautiful Eleiko Prestera! I think you’re looking for a Socket Wrench Extension. Hope that would make it fit.

It's not the extension. Have to get a wrench with a smaller head

@@zealfittv3348 If you have an extension on the socked wrench, the head won't have to be inside the narrow gap, and you can do it. Hi John, actually you can't. I have one of those extension. The hole is too small and the angle would be too big to get the extension to "grab" hold of the bolt. Eleiko did tell us that the solution is to get the smaller socket wrench.. which we did and it didn't cost much.

Azmir, thank you for this. From your perspective, what differentiates the XF line from the Prestera line and why may it make sense for a consumer to purchase one versus the other?

Prestera - smaller foot print, less wide (i.e. plates will not hit the upright).. and of course, it looks a lot cooler than the XF

Awesome unboxing and tips for the installation! BTW, have you ever tried to workout in the Prestera rack without the 4 bolts down? I am seriously considering the Prestera for my home gym but I cannot screw the bolts down on the floor in my house. I will appreciate it if you can share some experience on that. Thanks!

Technically you can because the uprights are being held up by the connecting beams to the rear uprights and also via a crossmember between the two front uprights. However, just get a smaller torque wrench to get to the 4 bolts I mentioned. Watch EP27 where I tightened the bolts with the smaller wrench

Great review. I am on the fence about the XF 80 vs the Prestera. I believe Eleiko is phasing out the XF 80, so getting accessories down the line might become more difficult. The issue with the Prestera as you mentioned is it is 70mm x 70mm instead of 3 x 3 like the XF 80. This means most 3rd party accessories will not work. So no getting Rogue, Sorenex, Titan or other 3rd party accessories. You're pretty much are stuck with Eleiko stuff, which isn't a bad thing quality wise, you just will not have as many options. Do you feel the Prestera is as solid as the XF 80?

Yes, better than the XF80 half rack. It's about 10cm shorter and less wide.

I’m thinking of upgrading to this rack. Do you like it? Is it your favorite half rack and is it worth it you think?

Yes we love it. For one, it takes a smaller foot print. Secondly, it's so easy to adjust the height of the jcup and safety arms because each hole is numbered (for stainless steel model). Thirdly, the width between the uprights is smaller, i.e., when racking the bar, the plates and end of the bar sleeve won't hit the upright.
