I noticed the view-master, but decided to leave it. It wasn't very old... mid-century. I have a couple older view-masters from about the 30s or 40s, made of bakelite instead of the read and white plastic.

Nice haul and love the necklace.... I used to sit for hours at my Godmothers farm collecting garnets off the ground... they were all over up there... :) Now to something I spotted that was funny.....SOS pads box..... It is hard enough getting a guy to go in a store and purchase anything "personal" for a woman but can just imagine a non Canadian speaking guy going in and trying to be quick and asking for Tampons only to get home and his significant other opens bag and finds SOS pads.....LOL.....

the old projector brought back a sweet memory of my father. he had a projector just like what you have. he had a reel of the keystone cops, and when he played it backwards all of us kids were rolling in the floor laughing. great buy ! iwas wanting some dishes and the milkglass shades that were under the table....lol great buys....keep them coming...take care karen from Tennessee

Wow stunning necklace!! I think 50 dollars was a steal all the jewelry displays alone would of cost more then 50 to buy at a store. Why was the necklace only valued at 1000 if the appraisal said almost 2000. It lost that much value? Shame. Nice Star Wars collection.

Hi Jennifer!!! With jewelry appraisals, it's common for the appraisal to be much more than the actual value. This is for insurance reasons. With that being said, I probably undervalued the necklace.

If ever there was a potato-fries moment, it would have been when Karen stepped into the Ford with that certificated necklace..!!! I live about 15 miles from a garnet jewelry factory and have had the opportunity to slip past security and tour the operation. Methinks you've undervalued your piece 'vis-à-vis' today's market value. Just my opinion.

We have no online shop or store... and are mainly collectors. Sometimes Karen has to sell something tho, and when she does, she just sells locally using a local buy/sell app like LetGo or OfferUp. We hope to have an online shop in the future - we were hoping for last year but COVID kind of killed our thrifting a bit, so hopefully next year if we can get back to a normal garage sale schedule then we can open something.

Hi Diane!! Yes I think we try to err on the side of caution when valuing the pieces. In the past I have sometimes been on hte high soide of values, and I find some people get upset when I show something as too expensive LOL So I try to go on the cheaper side hahahahaha.
