I want to say mass airflow sensor is bad n is giving the car the wrong amount of air to fuel.

i’ve spent 5k on trynna fix mine and it’s still not fixed. they don’t seem to find what the issue is and i’m tired of spending money and the mechanics not knowing what the problem is.

I have the same issue right now car shakes crazy EPC light on and off but check engine flashes … Do I change the throttle body? Need answers!! Please

@@agoodwin2012 I didnt replace anything, just cleaned both the MAF and throttle body, then cleared the code. Hasn’t happened since. I did notice that when it happened it was during very cold winter days.

Is that in the firewall right side? It makes all that clicking sound after ignition is off?

I got a 08 A5 doing the same thing.. specifically when I accelerate.. epc light.. shaky.. replaced the injectors and coils packs and plugs.. no dice.. hell fuel treatment and injector cleaning still no dice.. getting a clutch out In this week.. if that doesn’t help I’m selling the bitch 😂

@@JuanSierraFilms I replaced my mechatronics unit which helped a bit. The transmission responded better but still going into limp mode when i try to accelerate quickly. It also stays in third gear when I accelerate quickly for a while then gives a hard shift when going into fourth gear. An audi mechanic told me the problem is my clutch pack as he has had his share of experience with his audi.

@@josephfahie8147 idk if this helps, but Audi seem to have a lot of problems if the car isnt grounded correctly, a lot of things can show up as needed repair but it could be fixed if its a grounding problem.

@@JuanSierraFilms I have seen that in some diagnostic videos. I have 2009 A3 that I bought as a salvage title. It had intermittent limp mode and ground in mechatronic coil codes as well as intermittent ECU codes. I have been using VAGCOM and now OBDELEVEN to monitor and reset, while going through tightening up things. I changed the gear oil and did the adaptation and it improved a bit. I can't say why the intermittent problems have disappeared as I have been whittling away at verifying connections and haven't tested regularly to establish whether any specific change contributed. One thing that still dogs me is running the car for a while till it warms to normal operating temperature. Then I stop somewhere, at the grocery store, for example. When I go to leave, the car turns over and starts but immediately shuts down. Then it just cranks. Occasionally, it catches, but dies. Sounds like a fuel problem. Mostly, I wait 20 minutes and it starts and runs fine again. Great power, no misses. I suspect I am getting vapor lock. I have had some success using the throttle when I start it in these situations. I can give it throttle and coax it (press to the floor and let up until it fires and once it does give it some modulation on the pedal). This leads me to believe it's a fuel delivery problem. But I don't think it's a fuel pump issue or filter (looks brand new) because the engine does not miss when on the highway at high speed and hard acceleration (a rocket sled). So I am exploring whether heat shields are missing that might cause vapor lock once engine stews in its residual heat when I shut it off after driving. Sorry to Bogart your response, thought it might be helpful.

I just put a new battery in mines but it didn’t fix the issue

Never found out, I speculate has to be a leaky turbo

Change coil packs and spark plugs I repeat gap the plugs they are not pre gapped . I almost wasted 200 because I changed everything and still had the problem until I realized the only thing I didn't do was gap the plugs . It started up smooth and no more warning lights I'm sure that's everyone issue

Holy fuck this is a common issue than lol, mine recently started I am going to try to get it fixed or rid of it... mine is at 58k miles with an APR tune... idk if that wore the engine that much faster
