EPCOT Construction Update February 2023 - Communicore Hall/Plaza Takes Shape | Walt Disney World

Here's the latest construction update at EPCOT for February 2023. For the first time in awhile, I was actually able to film visible work happening during the day! Heavy work was going on over at Communicore Hall, and that building is really starting to take shape. I also noticed some new construction outside of Communicore Hall(Communicore Plaza) . While nothing was happening over in the Moana Journey of Water walkthrough, I did notice some new themed light posts and trees were added. The outside footage was filmed on February 24th 2023 from around 2:30pm - 4pm, while the monorail ride was from the 25th at around 4:30pm

I think I've figured out why you are my favorite WDW KZfaq channel; you take the time to film things I wouldn't necessarily spend my "precious vacation time " exploring. And, in turn, it inspires me to enjoy the little things and the quiet times. So thanks for that! I am really excited for this new area. I think the trees and planters will make it a lovely,. welcoming space. Hoping it all goes quickly once Communicore Hall is complete!

I love Epcot. And the quiet places. When Moana has been around for a few years, I think it’ll become a quiet place too. Then people will really appreciate it. It was nice to see the project moving along

Yes, the Moana walkthrough is going to be really cool! I wonder if it will be open at night or if it’ll close before it gets dark. We will see I guess! Thanks so much as always Mike😃

Love these updates!!! Get to keep up to date on the progress happening at my “happy place” (in spite of being over 500 miles away!). Yay! Monorail “flyby” (Bonus!!)!! This gets me excited that there may be fewer walls at my next planned visit in November!! (I will NOT know how to behave in a wall-less EPCOT!!) 😁Loving the shots of the beautiful park Icon!! (beautiful night o r day!!). A Monorail ride is always fun and great way to see the progress (I was glued to windows on my last ride, taking in the updates). BUT they are going to have to revise the narration…heard that reference to the Play Pavillion. Thank you, 4K, for the care with which you bring the images and sounds together for us here!!

Thank you for the great update. Besides seeing the progress on construction of EPCOT I loved seeing the 3 different color monorails Orange, Lime and Blue (not sure of the color names), seeing the new flowers and a few of the topiaries for the upcoming Flower and Garden and hearing the birds and ducks. Is there a completion date for Moana and Communicore?

Though I am excited to see the Moana walkthrough, it still breaks my heart knowing Innoventions is gone and everything else that was gutted out. It was a big apart of my childhood and it was apart of Epcot I’ll never forget. That’s why I feel sad when I see this.

🌴🌴Trees. Trees are a plus. ooohhh 🚝 🚻Porta Potty update🚨sweetie, less? They are a small village! Near Connections - @6 & near Communicore @10. They be multiplying! Careful Poly-they are coming for you next Thx 4💜

Hahaha yea I guess there are more porta pottys! I think they spread them out more since my last update, which may have thrown me off lol. I’m sure the Poly will be getting a handful of them soon, and maybe I’ll be lucky enough to film the delivery of them to the site😂 Thanks so much as always Liz!!
