Everyone let’s be clear : “Crystal night is coming” wasn’t referring to the historical event but to what crystal symbolizes : transparency, purity. They even talk about that in “the crystals that protected us are shattered” which means that there is no more purity in this world and that hypocrisy and lies just fucked up the “transparency” of the world. The “crystal night is coming” alludes to the fact that the world is going to be pure again and transparent which means without hypocrisy, lies and manipulation. “Night” is also a metaphor to depict the darkness of the society we live in. If you take in consideration ALL the lyrics that’s what is denounced throughout the song, nothing to do with “crystal night” of 1938 and we find that reference in a lot of poems actually, it is often used as a metaphor… Also, about the clothes, I mean this kind of uniform obviously looks like nazis’ one because it is a military one. Other idols wore it such as ATEEZ in “Wonderland” and they weren’t accused of being nazis… If we consider history to put clothes on then we should say to all the people wearing Hugo Boss they are nazis too since this brand participated actively in the nazi party until its capitulation and manufactured the uniforms of soldiers. I hear a lot of German people, maybe you are actually one of them saying that they are ashamed of the past actions of Hitler but why are you? It wasn’t you, I mean every country has its own more or less dark history but we should just learn through it not to do the same mistakes and we shouldn’t live depending on it. I totally understand that you guys could have been shocked by the sentence due to your history but please try to see the lyrics as they are with an objective point of view. The company was actually doing a very good job with EPEX, but after seeing these Lyrics and MV, understanding the actual meaning I can say that this is a huge NO. I feel like EPEX is releasing really good songs. I mean it’s just one song. But the company better should delete the entire song because changing the lyrics from “Night“ to ”Light“ won‘t help at all.
