I had the chance to buy this mix of world silver for a bit over $1,000, but I think I did really well on it. It was a nice mix of coins, and I thought that there were some standout finds. I feel bad that I lost the footage on the 90% silver mix, but the remainder of the coinage was really awesome, and I was able to get some new additions to my collection and other things and designs I hadn't previously seen. Overall, this was one of my favorite ever videos to produce - super excited to unbox more world material as I get it!

The 1932 Australian florin in that lot is a key date with a mintage of just 188,000. It has a value of around $200 aud in VG condition.

Could you please pull the 90% back out and make a video going over it? My favorite foreign coins are the 90% Prussian marks and I know I saw some in there lol

Great purchase of world silver coins. 7:14 Wow, I wouldn´t have expected a coin like this. Germany, 3 Mark 1930 G Zeppelin, mintage was only 61.000, retail value in this condition around 150,- bucks. Greets from GER, U.

Christian, I can read Japanese numerals: 年一十三治明 in the upper right third of the obverse reads" Year 1 10x3 of Meiji Reign" or Year 31 of Meiji. Meiji starts in 1867, that puts Year 31 in 1898. Been dealing with a lot of older Chinese Cash Coins same numeral system.

The Chinese 7.2 Candareens or 10 Fen has no date. They were made between 1895-1907 during Emperor Guangxu's Reign.

I don't know where you purchased this lot but there are a lot of key coins included. I wish there was more time to see this video, or, splitting the video into multiple parts. I collect Canadian 5 cent silver so for me I would have liked to have more time spent on those. That 1871 is really nice. As far as the other coins, these are some with good collector value: Germany 1930 3 Reichsmark, Germany 1927 1 Reichsmark, Switzerland 1861 1 Franc, Canada 1887 10 cent, Canada 1888 25 cents, Canada 1890 25 cents and Canada 1915 25 cents.

newfoundland was not part of canada until 1949 so thay produced thare own coinage

When the US took over the Philippines after the Spanish-American war when Spain gave the US the territories which included many different areas. So when the government was basically controlled by the US , they decided that the US should produce their currency. Originally the silver coins were made from US planchettes , dimes, quarters, halves and dollars. But in 1907 they shrank the coins and so any coin dated before 1907 were made from American blanks.

the dominican republic 1897 is actually 35 percent silver

The Mexican 10 centavos Mexico 1905 is 80%. For the 10% p esos from Mexico, the higher denominations at the time had 72% silver content. I would be interested in buying the Chinese coins from you.

Cool video what is the easiest way for someone who does not know about if they have coins that are actually worth money what would be a layman's term or an easy way for someone who doesn't know but likes old money to know if they have something that's worth money

P.S very cool stuff, a very nice buy. As far as the New Zealand 3d coin is concerned (at 8min time signature) these objects are patu the traditional NZ war club, made out of jade or wood, depending on how 'posh' you were in the Maori feudal hierarchy, before and after British conquest..

You blew thru several noteowrthy British and Canadian coins as if they were nothing. You have a few 'large leaf' coins in your Canadian 5 & 10 cent varieties, as well as several Victorian British coins well worth mentioning due to their lower mint numbers. Newfoundland and Straits Settlement coins can especially be premium coins, but you blew thru those as well. I know you're trying to balance the timed used on these, but going thru the coins in this fashion teaches no one about coins or coin variuations. It's almost like "Look what I got.. this, this and this." Nothing useful or informative. You DO zero in on special coins you recognise, but it seems as though you cannot be bothered with those you don't know.
