@@WestfieldFreshAir all the excessive (and on turn soon to become SMART devices) electronic parts! Edit sorry, I thought this was a reply to Geoff buys cars channel (notification above this one!). Yes the excessive electronics aren't needed, the old models then drill had good function and fun! New stuff now it's incased in plastic, reliant on electronics, and vulnerable to having your freedom of movement taken away from you by many many many weak links in the chain...

@@hoonaticbloggs5402are you sure about that ? Have you seen the front wings and rear arches and indeed the underside of many of the 2000s cars? Find me a Mk5 or 6 GTi golf that doesn't need wings sills and arches doing or indeed an e46 BMW or Merc etc. which is shocking considering prices new. I've two cars presently, ones 04 the other 97 and am trying to buy something sort of 2006 to 2010 but find more than a few £10k cars needing arches etc tended to or that the front wings have been painted / replaced. I remember having a 7 yr old MK2 GTi golf totally rust free, sold it in 97 for a vr6 and seen the same car in 2006 with a mileage haircut but very little rust but three shades of tornado red, I was surprised how well it had survived.

One of the best cars I've owned is the BMW E21 323i Alpina. Watching you with the Cosworth and listening to you brings back that feeling of fun which goes to show you don't need 1000hp to have fun in a car! Great vid BTW as usual.

If you were a bit older you'd have been into them before. They were soo much faster than everything else. Memories of leaving Dartford toll next to one 😅. Beans were given, side windows used for forward vision. The sound and the smell when you followed one. 3 door in moonstone my favourite.

You can never beat the YB and the BDG engines the noises from the turbo are amazing just shows that you can still have fun with under 400hp 😂 brill vid lads

Guys the roundabout you both chose is the one next to the Cheshire custody suite . How a copper didn't come out of that industrial estate was crazy lucky . Iv drove the exact Cosworth your in :) I have a 3dr myself and an E30 m3 and am always hearing of this car collection your with

We have one of the best private car collections in the south west of England! Including some very fast 80s and 90s hot hatches and turbo cars. My late father collected rally cars and cosworths, and my personal preference was fast vauxhalls! We have a bit of everything!!!

I had a white 4x4 cossie. They are great fun, however. Every time you stop or park somewhere there’s always someone wanting to chat about it. If you like that attention then get one. However a simple fuel stop usually takes an hour with you popping the bonnet and having a full on conversation. But yeh what a car .

I bought my old cossie for 2500 of my dad who had 1 come in part x had so much fun in that car for 2 years even used to throw my tools in back apart from oil change and Tyers etc never had a problem with it sold it for £2500 2 years later was a result . Couldn’t and wouldn’t pay the money they are now think me at nearly 40 years old had the best out of these cars when they where cheap and fun

Other than a few different body panels, doesn't this car almost look like a 96 Volkswagen passat vr6. Especially from the front doors up to the front bra and bonnet. This is a nice ford, see I wish we would get cool stuff like this in the US from the beginning. Great video, nice car.

Back in 1992 I was doing detailing for a sales place, and had to go collect a car. Turned out it was a white 4x4 cosworth ESTATE. 2.0turbo. Never seen one before or since . I was 21 . I launched that thing without ever seeing a 4x4 launch it was like being catapulted

i’m with u Owen , i’ve always respected them but never been into cosis,…but have also never had pleasure of driving one iether ,… think the old escort 1.6 put me off when i drove it when i was younger , how plastic it all felt and horible gearbox ….. but admit the older i get in liking them all more and more and can’t knock something till you try it and i’ve always loved the looks of a fast ford for sure !

The escort cosworth bodyshell is half escort mk5 and uses a shortened sierra floor pan and inner wings they rot worse than the sierras I prefer the sierra

@MotorAddicts I've broken screen on phone only bottom half works so can't upload jack shit at mo but I've been using it since Friday and it's still going so far ... slight issue with boost but apart from that sounds 👌 and actually goes well with bmw 6 speed box ideal on motorway for cruising
