That’s a bit of a machine, still prefer the Taycan look but that would do very nicely. Your nocking it out the park with Alfa Electric keep it going to the passenger 😂 we need interesting sport driven electric by passionate designers and engineers. The drive I have a feeling Porsche stability control earned its money on the run and of course a little bit of Ped talent. I’d have love to have seen the electric Cooper works that was in front on the way down.

Very brave of you with your friend from Alpha in those wet conditions but I guess with your race licence you are trained for that.

There are now four variants of the Macan electric since days ago. They are as follows: Macan, Macan 4, Macan 4S, Macan Turbo. Each one is more powerful and with less range than the next down. I'm going to go for the "cheapest" model with the longest range. 5.7 seconds to 60 mph is plenty fast for me, as I'm buying for design, handling, quality and reliability reasons. WhatCar? magazine in the UK conducted a large 16,000 car owner reliability survey for all car brands, and while Porsche was not near the top of the list overall as a brand (Lexus was number one overall; duh) the magazine specifically mentioned Porsche for the Macan was rated number one for reliability in the small SUV category. The survey was before the EV version existed, but that seems like a good sign to me. And I want me some real leather seats and interior, thank you very much. There are 60 year old Porsche's out there with their original real leather seats, just as my leather (pig skin) New Balance trainers are over ten years old. If well maintained, real leather is a phenomenally durable and beautiful material. Porsche's are second to none in this area in terms of leather quality and fit and finish. The true reason "vegan leather", otherwise known as plastic, is used by car companies is because it is far cheaper to source than good quality real leather. Car companies use this cheap less durable less nice material for optics and slogans, and for profit. Green washing. Real leather literally grows from a food source from the sun, and can be sourced regeneratively, if car companies actually cared about other factors (not just sourced responsibly, but regeneratively). A popular German car reviewer on KZfaq ignorantly copy & pasted a pre-written response to me about how we are all bad people trying to end the world for wanting real leather seats and to eat meat. Unfortunately for him I am well versed in regenerative farming going on 15 years. It's amazing how confidently someone with a large audience can spout such nonsense. He visited one farm and thinks he knows what he's talking about. For max real world range go for the base model, it will be about 350 miles in Summer. That's the model to get in my view. Never needing to use a public charger as I never drive more than 350 miles is my goal. Public charges are sometimes unreliable? Not an issue when the car gets more range than you drive. My goal is to never need to charge in daytime. Go home, plug in and the next day drive. That's it.

Good video, nice partnership, they could be brothers. I went Saturday and got wet in the late afternoon. FOS needed more Italian flare this year. Didn't see enough Alfa's going up the hill, where were the QF's and the like? AR Stradale 33 was in a glass box, that was the only Alfa stand I could find. AR Junior in Electric Ave, less said about that the better, didn't look Italian to me, more French styling than Italian and where did they get the name JUNIOR from? Built in Poland? No Milano, so call it Polano, not Junior?? The quietest Goodwood I've been to, car noise wise. Heard a lot of electric, WEEE WEEE WEEE WEEE. Welcome to the future. Bit boring isn't it!!? FOS still a great, great day out for car and motorsport lovers. I've walked the hill (higher and steeper that it looks) with my dog but would love to drive up it one day in an ICE Alfa. Nice driving Pedro given the weather conditions and the cargo.

To have such an important passenger was so good and next time, I hope you get they keys to a Stradale…still maybe the best looking car of all at the Festival! I saw the Macan EV but noticed one thing…no rear window wiper which see seems a little strange given the shape and wet weather..I hope it is in the options list! I saw a comment made earlier on…you will remember which…your reply was perfect…nobody will listen to such words who has the slightest understanding of how the future looks. I don’t hate EV’s but there are plenty of petrol and diesel engines that have been throughly awful and deserve to go! My lowly PHEV is actually at its best in EV mode and has all the “ character” you can use plus a huge dose of refinement. When new batteries arrive in 2026 with Toyota Lexus ( I had a good talk to them at FoS) there will be a huge change and range, weight and degradation will become a thing of the past. I hope I’m still here to drive one!! Well done for dealing with that idiot though !😃 Now…back to the sunshine of Cornwall…YES…we have some today!! Richard😃😃😃😃😃

Hi Ped Another great event from GRRC, and it would appear you enjoyed yourself despite the rain! Have to say your video was superb well done. It would appear that Porsche has made a very good EV again with the Macan, however whilst I am not against change & progress, I strongly believe that manufacturers have been forced to adopt the charge towards electrification too quickly and it will end in pain and even greater financial losses. You mentioned the Taycan, no doubt a terrific car, but look at the depreciation, horrendous, and the number of cars on the second hand market not selling. A more balanced approach with a longer time frame, and a bit on open honesty regarding the true cost of Net Zero would have been welcomed but I fear it is too late.😥😥😥
