Fun to watch Jerry sit around the campfire create memories you’ll never forget I lived on the American river for four years running a 5 in Triple and an 8 inch sub surface my brother and I got 158 ounces every meal over a campfire it’s been 35 years since then not many days go by I don’t think about the good times I had.See you on the river sometime I still get out now and then American and yuba river

Use the bazooka gold trap throw away that keen. The bazooka gold trap is the best sluice box ever made. The prospector extended model you can dump a 5 gallon bucket of material on and it will not lose gold. the Riffle sluices need to be fed a tablespoon at a time.

They both have their purpose the bazooka does not catch fine gold you could keep telling yourself that but it does not I've done multiple test to prove this. If you're in an area with gold that's above 50 mesh you're probably alright but anything below that you're gonna risk blowing it through the Box. Even the makers of the Bazooka understand this but do not mention it much.

This is the video I've been looking for. Glad I found it again. This is one of my favorites & I really like the 1 or 2 night camping trips. Jerry you make the best videos in my opinion. NICE, NICE looking gold & awesome amounts of it. I'll never find a fraction of that here in Arkansas but we do have a diamond mine & 2 quartz crystal mines that are all pay to dig but open to the public & keep what you find. I have noticed many people using their pans incorrectly when it comes to doing their clean up. When panning your classifieds its not a good habit to classify your material using the smooth sides without the use of your riffle, It's easy to lose more then you gain.

Jon we seem to do ok with what works for us, we pan into a safety pan just to peek at the gold, its all processes at home in the end.

The place your at is awesome! I have dug a few 6ft holes and got nothing but a swimming pool! Lol I feel from my experience that you go a little up stream, around the ripples closer to the opposite shore. I know we all have an a opinion! Lol Dale

Looks like that cut you guys were working was possibly tailings from an old dredge line. Every time I work tailings, I seem to find some fine gold as well. Looks like y'all had a good time and nice gold!

Great video , great adventure as well guys , and you got some nice gold too , that silver stuff with the black sand , i used to think it was silver , it's probably zircon sand , iv'e had the same , check it with a 60x jewelers loop , anyway good stuff guys ,the sort of thing memories are made of ,cheers .

Wow Jerry, I've watched this episode a couple times now, and I'm still amazed at all the sulfides and gold that spot holds. I know access isn't ideal, but man, it's kinda worth it to spend a few days there if you can get just a little bit lucky. Great job on the video, and thanks for sharing 👍🤙✊
