I’ve got to admit that even though I’m still partial to a road trip through Ireland, this trip was gorgeous!

Hubby and i road tripped from Austin Texas to Boise Idaho and saw some of the places you drove through. It is a beautiful trip, the vast space is prettyi mpressive! Next year we are road tripping from Boise to Tarpon Springs Florida! We do love a good road trip, there is nothing like it, to be honest. Love the video, and the extra passenger is a hoot!

I'm 65, and when I was growing up, it was common to pile into a station wagon and head out from the Chicago area to California on a family road trip. We saw the Grand Canyon, the typical San Diego and LA sights, Yosemite, Lake Tahoe, the Tetons and Yellowstone, and Mt. Rushmore in under 3 weeks. I've flown over all that later in life more times than I can remember, but it was the vastness that I recall seeing from a vehicle that really makes the greatest impression. On westbound I-44, we saw the mountains just east of Albuquerque and thought we'd be there in 20 minutes. Twenty minutes later, those mountains didn't seem to be much closer.

Thank you. Boise to Florida sounds like quite a haul!!!! Our entire Road Trip went from Las Vegas to Phoenix to Moab to North Platte, NE to Pocahontas, IA and finally Rochester, MN. All of it delightful in its own special way. :)

Wonderful video! I will have to try out this road trip, now that I have retired [a month ago!]❤ I would go with a group - I am a woman of my own. The eating locations sound great! 👌😎👍

@chrisplusmelissa Hi Chris & Melissa great video and some fantastic scenery and the music reminded of watching the old western movies growing up, I always wanted the Indians to beat the cowboys ( invaders) although they never did 😮 next time you do this kind of video please do a Johnny Cash song, probably my favourite American alongside George Carlin, anyhow I couldn't visit this place because I don't like heat coming from Liverpool and anyhow I took enough heat in the comment section when you visited Finland, when I mentioned the second best country in the world after Ireland 😅 take care you two, nice one.

That's a road trip I would absolutely love to do someday. I don't recall seeing a sign to turn off AC on I-17 when I drove from Surprise up to Sedona a few years ago--what I do remember is that just as there's a tree line higher up in mountains, there was a sharply defined "saguaro line" on that climb where they just didn't grow above it. Did you notice that?

Chris here... I remember thinking I should pay attention to the saguaros and try to determine where they stop growing as we headed north... but must have been distracted by something else. :)

Loved the vlog! Question ? I live in Az but I am afraid of heights and wanted to ask how the drive is concerning one lane roads/ highways that look like you could go off the side of a cliff. Is the drive pretty flat or no like from Az to Vegas ? Thank you so much for your time.

Hi. From Arizona to Vegas was pretty easy and I don't recall any roads that were scary. The road up to Jerome (from Cottonwood) was the only road we went on that some people might find spooky.
