Watching a boxing match can produce an exhilarating and confusing experience at the same time. All it takes to change the course of a fight is a well-timed shot. Sometimes, this shot can cause a fighter to lose their ability to coordinate their movements resulting in funny “chicken dances.”

It wasn’t a KO, but a very satisfying and kinda funny scene when Chino Maidana knocked down A. Broner in the 2nd round, and 3 or 4 chicken dance steps were unforgettable!

The Webber - Israel fight was horribly officiated. Israel should not have been allowed to hit him twice more after his knee had obviously hit the mat, but the Ref was in la la land I guess.

Clarke Ulrich fight: I don't get it. If you get sent to the mat and make it to your feet, you get a standing 8 count. Why did the reff call the fight when the guy was still on his feet? Give him 8 seconds to collect himself, and if he can continue, let him.

The ref could see from his eyes and the way his legs were wobbly that he couldn't fight on. The thing is, a good knockout doesn't send you unconscious. It affects the nervous system. The back of the jaw causes a compression on the upper spinal cord. So the legs go, but the fighter thinks they're still fine. Hence chicken dances. You see it a lot, fighters who think they're fine and look all confused when their body doesn't do what they tell it to. They eyes can give it away, they are the most closely connected organ to the brain, some neurologists argue that they are practically an extension of the brain. Another hammer blow, when your body is not able to defend yourself, can be a killer. Brain damage is a real risk, with high probability. For the sake of the boxer's life it is best to end it. I have a lot of respect for boxers who, seeing their opponent's legs go, back off and let them fall without following up. As with the example in this video. That's class, to do that. Who wants a dead guy, or one in a coma on their conscience?

@@slasherx6111 Even the best boxers suffer brain trauma that predisposes them to all kinds of dementias later in life. Even a redirecting a soccer ball with the head causes intracranial bleeding. I have seen brain scans of children who were slapped upside the head by an abusive father. The scans showed scarring from the repeated trauma. God gave chidren a butt for discipline.

I don't like an athlete who makes fun of an opponent, especially if he is black, because black people have been made fun of by other races in the past, so they should understand the pain of being made fun of more than others.
