Back on the railway with Ricky and Alan, decided it was time to dig out the banks and I'm glad I did. some really lovely old gear found.

Yeh lovely bottles the Massey's, got a few in the collection now. Just needs a few of the codds

Thanks, it's very much finished now. Might be the odd nice bits left but the effort it takes to find them far outweighs the rewards.

Unreal at the amount of skittle bottles in that one location. I love all your finds and I’d traded for those also well that’s if I already had the codd bottles in my collection. Nice!

yeh the codds are from about 1o mile away and although quite rare and valuable id rather have stuff from my hometown in my collection, Also who would want a nice ginger beer and a hamilton lol. hoping there will be more in the tip tho along with another full hammy this time.

Those codds are absolutely awesome . Not often you see narrow necks come out. Well done mate. In a few shovels you went from 1920/30's to 1880's. Amazing stuff. Cheers Mark from Oz.

Yeh although I think it was a late chick out, there was a ginger pit came out from underneath but that will be next weeks vid.

Mate I've watched hell of a lot of bottle digging videos and I have to say I enjoyed this better then 99% I've seen. Brilliant dig good camera work and the clean up with the hole and light coming through to show the bottles was ace. And you as a person is easy to watch and listen too. Don't think I fancy you or out I've got a lass and kids hahaha but some i just can't watch they talk utter dogs turd lol definitely subbed and will watch alot more. Keep digging pal💯💯👍👍

Bit dry lately tho so my new vids are out and about in Lancashire doing other things haha, I have found a new tip to dig and might throw up so me bits and pieces looking into 40s from about 1915 so might be a mixed bag. Sorry mate just seen this message, yeh didnt do too bad, i have a nice set of masseys now with those from up north coming back down, just need a codd from them. and to see if they did any other style of bottle.

Great video mate, I’ve been digging them Massey beers myself lately I have a 1 pint and a half pint that’s traveled down to the north east, loved them narrow necks mind I’ve only ever dug one in 25 years, hope you smashed the life out of the spot.👍

your getting masseys so far up?, there my Home town bottle im about 12 miles away now but they are quite abundant still. got a few in the collection now just need a nice codd and the amber quarter pint i gave away to a mate. Yeh working it slowly had a nice day on here this week pulled a ton of poisons out and a mate had a ginger pot.

Yeh I use a very diluted mix 10 part water 1 part bleach. Moves a lot of stubborn staines Also seems to work well on the bottles that have varnished up with whatever is inside.

You use a fork and shovel the codds are so early and valuable . using just a shovel break's so many bottles guess that shows not skittle Hamilton please be careful the codds are far more valuable than you think I got £500 pound for last one I had

All depends on the patent, if its a coloured codd, does it have a different colour marble, standard codds are ten a penny now and don't bring so much money.

I've been digging thirty years I'm always learning new stuff and I do no it all depends on patent numbers I've had so many variation s over the years but you will find it very hard to dig up many narrow kneck codds first thing you need to no is a little knowledge can be dangerous and I'd learn how to use a shovel and fork before swopping things you no nothing about

@@jamesbull-gg7ky I know narrow necks are rare that's why they bring good money, standard codds don't. I can't get much more than a few bob when I sell bulk. Listen I appreciate you may have experience but I don't dig with forks I don't find I need too, only ever necked a few bottles and that's because I wasn't paying attention, and to say I know nothing about stuff is rude and condescending. You may as well unsub at this point thanks all the best.
