That was a super safe looking ride to me. As a former cyclist, there are places in rural areas you be careful in, but Venice is definitely not one of them

I lived in CA between 75 to 88, lived in Torrance and Hermosa Beach, used to travel the bike path on the beach from one end to the other. Traveled through Venice Beach, Santa Monica on my bike all the time. I escaped in 88, had a job offer in LA in 2009, turned it down because there was no way in hell I was going to live like that anymore. Today with all the crime and homeless BS - as far as I'm concerned if the San Andreas fault went off, and CA slipped into the ocean, I'd consider it a cleansing.

It's amazing to hear about your time in BA and your rides along the beach paths in Torrance, Hermosa Beach, Venice Beach, and Santa Monica. It sounds like those were some great memories. It's understandable to feel disheartened by the changes over the years. The situation today with crime and homelessness is indeed challenging. It's tough to see a place you once enjoyed transform so drastically. Let's hope for positive changes in the future.

Beautiful bro. Nice and peaceful at night. I'm still amazed when you said I can most likely assemble the wheels myself. I didn't realise it was that easy. It was funny when that guy came in front of your camera saying it was his birthday lol but guess what. It's mine tomorrow not even joking 😊
