22:30 The queen shenanigans against terran is probably the smartest move, also one of the hardest to execute... This has probably been the best queen manœuvre I have ever seen, effort didn't give up because he lost a couple of queens, he kept pushing on (I think queens are cost-efficient, only 100 minerals and 100 gas, but the energy is the problem, they should require 100 energy for spawn broodlings, since it's a bit limited move). The only thing we missed here was an infested terran command center. 😅

That queen control was so impressive! I don't remember seeing queens used so efficiently before.

Love this match. I did see parasite being used in the match. So cool. Also, I remember using queens in the past and if the queen dies before the spell has reached its target. Then the spell fizzles and does nothing. Great job casting. :).

it always seems like people are a bit surprised when they see Hydralisks vs Mech but really if you run the numbers, it makes sense: 1. both cost-efficiency wise and supply-efficiency wise, Hydras are more efficient with their HP and DPS than Goliaths are, and Goliaths are Large, so there is no size dps disadvantage between the two of them. 2. hp and dps are identical to a Vulture. they are more supply efficient, but less cost-efficient. in Vulture vs Hydra, Hydra does more damage to a Vulture than a Vulture does to a Hydra due to Hydras having Explosive damage and Vultures having Concussive. 3. they are ranged and thus can clear spider mines out without theoretically taking damage, unike any other Zerg ground unit (other than Lurkers and, i guess technically, Drones). 4. they are larger than Zerglings by a decent amount, and thus take less splash damage from Siege Tanks when clumped up. they are Medium, though, so they take more damage from a Siege Tank's attack, which might cancel that out. 5. just like in TvP, if you can trade a Dragoon for a Tank, you're coming out on top of that trade. Same thing with Hydralisks, but, frankly, better, because Hydralisks are much cheaper and can be replaced even faster than Siege Tanks or Dragoons can. While Dragoons do take 1 more hit to kill from a Siege Tank than a Hydralisk can take, Hydralisks are also slightly faster than Dragoons, so this might end up cancelling out.

this is another example that queens work :) i managed to win ZvT with queens sooo many times :) queen is the hard to snipe and if zerg player gets enough resources to produce them 8-12, they make every major battle win for the zerg side. anyway i think you guys get it 😆😆. I can confirm ships will often try to retain morale after crappy news by giving out some good eats. The Galley keeps a small underway stock of the good stuff just for those situations. Mongolian beef, lobster, steak, chips/salsa. They usually break out the ice cream and like bagels with cream cheese and just leave it out for everyone to grab as long as it last. It does work too. For that short moment the crew will kind of forget about the suck they were just informed of and enjoy some leisure time if your not unlucky enough to be on watch during.

first time I see a Zerg actually win with Queens being useful, most time I see people win with Queens usually due to they are already winning. They should buff Queens by making broodings last 5 seconds longer and a bit faster move speed.

I'm pretty new to your channel but this must be my favorite match so far. Absolutely amazing. Your casting was excellent (as always), the level of play was out of this world, and the queens... the queens!!! I don't know if there's anything more satisfying in Brood War than using them to pop siege tanks en masse. The count at 20:00 went from 8 to 1 in the span of literally two seconds.

Effort couldn't have done a more in the moment yet it looks like textbook design. Starcraft just shows that utilize each unit effectively using age old tactics (like mech which is powerful in its own reason). Superb by both players

Spoiler I think Zerg here is trying to find a new way to break mech, because tank-vulture just makes using ultralisks very cost ineffective for zerg He saves up a lot of minerals using queens and hydras instead. Hydras can clear mines and do decently versus tanks even without microing dark swarm. They also scare science vessels away. Queens can brooding tanks, especially those under defense matrix Its pretty good, hope more evolution of strategy happens

If queens spells cast and immediately die, before spell being reached to its target, the spell will not work. Its the same with all queens' casts. =)

That was awesome. I hate hydras against terran but I guess if you broodling all the tanks they can at least handle the rest. Big if though... I like the little pokes with the queens and not just send like 15 at once, they get one spell and die. He would send little squadrons. 👍
