The Jaq-Gus artwork combo is my absolute favorite from the set. I’d really love to get it on a playmat. I’ve cooled on Diablo Floodborn. I still like it, but I don’t think it will end up being game-defining. Definitely want to test it out, though. Edit: I could see dodge getting some play in Ursula decks. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve got an Ursula - Deceiver of All in hand on turn five, but I know that if I play it my opponent will take it out before I can sing with it. Giving it Ward and Evasive seems good. It’s also great if you sing with Ursula on turn 4 and then have this to protect it until your next turn to sing another song. Totally win-more, though.

I agree that the Inkcaster shouldn't be used with the idea you can stack your deck with uninkables, but rather to help with consistency, and in that regard, I think having a couple copies of Under the Sea works pretty well. That Visions Slab probably goes well with the Floodborn Prince Phillip too. Don't think it's exactly needed, but it provides more assurance the damage counters stay on your opponents characters.

If you can Kida then manage to under the sea, that could be gross.

I agree about sing together songs. I view this feature kind of feel like a reverse location in terms of their effect on the board. Most locations force stalemates and make the opponent exert their characters to deal with it, thus allowing you to challenge and clear their board. Sing together does the opposite. You exert all of your characters, leaving your board vulnerable to challenging and being cleared. If you don’t gain a TON of tempo from it, you are essentially giving the opponent all of the momentum moving forward. Not a fan. I’ll only use them if I plan to outright pay for them or use a single character to sing it. Maybe in multiplayer one day there will be more versatility.

I think the winners of this set are Ruby, Emerald and Sapphire. Amethyst didn’t get too much of anything good and Amber is still more of the same but nothing really meta defining.
