Tbh being in the last team to clear the 2nd stage doesn't necessarily mean Shidou's personal skills are bad though. It is the result of how many times you lost and rebuilt your team. Like even when Nagi, Chigiri and Barou are in the 2nd place, each of them lost twice, and we all knew how good they are. And they also implied that Nagi's won against Niko's team because Zentetsu initially formed a team with Niko.

Can’t wait for S2 and the U-20 arc. Only a handful of arcs in all of shonen has gotten me as hyped as the U-20 arc, definitely a top 3 new gen arc. And now that we’ve met Blue Locks number 2, the ultimate zest demon Shidou Ryusei it will only get better

16:25 they skipped it from the manga but shidou beat 2v1 reo and kunigami. And the reason they are the last team to come in is because Shidou is very agressive and often gets a red card

In the manga u saw that kunigami and reo fought shidou and the monk but they cut it and next time we saw them it was to revealed who won(because we see the monk and reo but not the last player). The animation skipped it because of time restraint, and even if they show it it’s a waste because we already know that shidou won because he is here and not kunigami but i doubt they would waste it and show it in season two because they are limited with the animation team and all. Happens all the time with anime that they cut or skipped parts of the manga.

1st selection rankings are based on ego’s biases and stats pre-blue lock. 2nd selection rankings are based on who finished first in the 100 goal stage. Meaning it doesnt matter if rank low or if you finished 7th in this selection. It could still mean you’re better than the top3. The 3rd selection rankings will be based on assessments during the 2nd selection which is more sensible based on skill levels.

Great reaction. Just one detail, the speed with which the teams finished the challenge, doesn't mean much. for example, if isagi didn't challenge Rin's team twice, the top 3 would probably be one of the last teams to finish the challenge, that's because nobody wanted to play against them. So, not necessarily the players who finished first are better than the last ones.
