OH MY GOD you've made this 2000s alt-rock emo girl so happy today! Yellowcard's use of violin definitely made them stand out and there are so many good songs from this album, also titled "Ocean Avenue". This has just opened another door to so many more fun bands and songs for y'all to enjoy. The Starting Line, Jimmy Eat World, Fall Out Boy, The All-American Rejects... y'all are in for some good times!

Yeah, but I don't blame him because there are lots of similarities. Early 2000s music is like the ultimate evolution of '90s music, and both periods are kind of the golden era of music (except maybe an argument can be made for it being '60s and '70s).

Brings me back to my high school days. Definite skater music, Yellowcard, Oasis, Green Day, Good Charlotte, Linkin Park, Hoobastank, Evanescence, Sum 41, Blink 182, Fountains of Wayne, and Third Eye Blind were all the vibe during those days in the 2000s.

I never listened to Yellowcard till after Chester Benningtons death! The lead singer did a tribute to Chester the day he died! He was the first one to post a tribute! When Linkin Park did the tribute to Chester's memory they had him sing "Shadow of the Day" with them! He seems to be one of those amazingly nice rockers!

This short era was jam packed with punk/emo hits. Immediately you have to check out "Way Away" from Yellowcard. If the violin and the drums were the topper for you, it'll probably knock you dead. "Believe" is also another good one that highlights those aspects very well. Quit a few of the official music videos in this era have references to movies also. So keep your eyes out for that as you watch them and see what you can find

Jay and Amber: In case you haven't heard, today, November 2nd, the last Beatles song dropped. There is a 12-minute documentary all about it that was released a day earlier on November 1st explaining where it came from. In short, John Lennon was working on this song and recorded a demo on a cassette back in the '70s, which Yoko gave to Paul, George and Ringo. They wanted to use it to make a Beatles collaborative song, but the technology was not advanced enough to be able to separate John's voice from the piano, so the idea got shelved. Fast forward to 2021 when Peter Jackson and his film team developed some machine learning technology to separate out individual parts of a song so they can be mixed discreetely, which they did for the Beatles documentary "Get Back," which streamed on the Disney Channel. So they applied this technology to John's demo, which opened up new possibilities. Today, The Beatles released their last song together, and they released it on vinyl and cassette as a Double A-sided single with the flip side being the FIRST Beatles song ever releaseed, "Love Me Do," but a 2023 remix of it. Here' s the link to the 12 minute documentary about how this final Beatles song came to be (you gotta watch it) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d7Z6dLSguKnbpXU.html. And then you should do an unprecedented reaction video of the last Beatles song, which is called "Now and Then." Or at least do a reaction to the flip side of the single, which was the first Beatles single, "Love Me Do." Here's the new single, "Now and Then." kzfaq.info/get/bejne/d71laK1j36uXfmg.html And the 2023 remix of "Love Me Do." kzfaq.info/get/bejne/gqt4oKh0nse7mac.html When I listened to these songs this morning, I was in tears. You watch. This release will jettison to the top of the pop charts...just like the Beatles did with every one of their songs back in the '60s. The brilliant stroke of releasing the last Beatles song on the flip side with the first Beatles song is like the circle will remain unbroken and can start all over for a whole new generation. You've GOTTA watch the documentary and listen to the new songs...whether or not you do a reaction video to them.

Oh this is nostalgia!! This made me dip into some other 90s-00s sound. Try out the band Lifehouse sometime: "Spin" "Blind" "Sick Cycle Carousel" "Breathing" They've got some good stuff.

Nice! I love that you have been doing more punk and post-punk. Don’t know if you have done Rancid at any point, but I suggest their song Time Bomb.
