Great video Matty what a sesh yeow!! Beautiful quality fish mate. That 79 was a ripper and the first cast fingermark seemed to be an omen for the day. I was a shocker for thumbing the spool too, I started holding the rod below the reel seat like a weirdo but it did get me out of the habit. Now i hold it normal and don't tend to want to thumb it like i used to. Anyway thanks for sharing mate! 👍🏻🎣

When you are sounding in new ground in the creeks - do you just idle away? Do you try and stay in the middle and hit both banks with side scan, or bring the range down and hit one bank? Sometimes I have issues with range on mHz, do you every drop down to 800khz? Cheers

Yeah, mate, I just idle along. It's slow going, but that's how I get the best picture. Alway trim my outboard up a little, and I never change the off mhz. My range is 15m or 20m out and usually one side of the creek at a time. Hope this helps 🙏. My next video I'll be explaining how I find fish and how I fish them. So keep an eye out for that one hopefully this Sunday I'll have it uploaded 🤙

That Helix 9 sounder you have is not much change out of 5 grand $$$$....Can you recommend another sounder that you don't have sell your kidney? Thanks

You can pick them up for 2.4k, and their gen4 sounder mines a gen3 or a second-hand one be cheaper cos most people just want to upgrade after a while. But honestly, I wouldn't recommend anything else, mate. hummingbird sounder is the master at Estuary fishing. Lawrence are good they are getting better, and they are cheaper. But dad always said, "Poor man pays twice." 😄 I put mine on layby 2 years ago and paid it off. It's was the best decision ever. Hope this helps 🙏 🙂
