After leaving Cambodia for the last time, Stephanie and I headed to Chiang Mai! It wasn't my first time in Thailand, but it was my first time in Chiang Mai. We decided to get out of the city on our first day on the highly rated Untouched Thailand Tour, which took us to the Long Neck Karen tribe, Doi Inthanon park to see the Royal Twin Pagodas, and then on a memorable hike through waterfalls, orchids and rice fields where our tour guide entertained us along the way with all his nature knowledge. Wth rain predictions all day, it held out just long enough, and we were really lucky!

Ahhh so fun to relive this day!! Especially grateful you had the fall on camera. Hahaha. They also put iodine they found from the jungle on Bethany's cut!

My parents are Cambodian but I was born and raised in America. Went there for the first time a few years ago and loved it. Sad to learn that you've left but I'll continue watching for the rest of your travels in Asia. P.S. I

Sorry I know you have moved on but how is the healthcare in Cambodia would you say? I'm about to start my celta next month and am thinking of cambodia but I hear it is really poor?

+Dominic Culmoni unfortunately healthcare is not great in Cambodia, but people do make it work. It's important to get a healthcare plan that includes airlift out of the country in an emergency, such as to Singapore or Bangkok

Thank you for the reply. Are you aware what expats do about like annual physicals?

I think it would depend on if you're living in Phnom Penh or elsewhere, but for me, I would plan on an annual trip over to Bangkok. There is the most fantastic woman named Lina Goldberg who wrote a book and has a website called Move to Cambodia, if you haven't come across that yet. She was a lifesaver for me
