A couple of my friends older brothers had the typical 6inch rake. One was a triumph bonny and i watch this bike get turned into a beutuful chopper, took him about a year to build, parts etc, meanwhile he rode an ex police BMW lol, with massive speakers on it. Great times, if i can say nothing else about my life its i had an interesting childhood lol

Generally, long "fork" choppers are show creations, and somewhat problematic to actually ride.

Mfs will build these and call out chevies on 34” dubs or lacs on gorilla swangs. I feel like every car and bike culture has their ignorant over the top builds and in all essence, it’s a part of it. Someone will always take it to the extreme and there’s something to it. The epitome of what makes it distinct. More power to builders is what I say. As outlandish as they may be, they make the world more interesting

A couple of these looked like they might be fairly comfortable to ride, but the ones that the riders had to reach way over their heads to steer, didn't look good, were just stupid, dangerous, and a waste of a good motorcycle engine, transmission and other components.

they come out of the factory fairly stupid so it's nice that the owners join in and make them even stupider, it's a great American tradition taking a slow motorbike and making it even slower and much unsafer,

Don't know about USA but in the 60 and 70s in uk chops very popular. I've rode a couple and they are not for speed or corners lol. But they look frekin cool.
