im glad you guys keep posting, i never would have found out about downhill longboarding. you guys need to advertise this more so more ppl can be aware of this sport. How long should a beginner practice before they bomb tuna canyon in malibu?

there are a ton of great youtube tutorials! the key is knowing how to stop in any situation (through sliding or footbraking) - Once you can safely stop at a certain speed then you can be much more comfortable building up to bigger hills over time!

There’s some cool roads in Turkey you should try out. The route from Uzumlu to Fethiye comes to mind. It’s about 5 miles of steep downhill on wide winding roads. The road’s very smooth too.

a lot better for racing, taking tight lines, etc as wider trucks are better for sliding and freeriding!

@@hatred9427 I hear ya. I watched Alpinist on Netflix last night. Just like Free Solo, those guys who climb straight up, vertical mountain walls are the champs of 'nerves of steel.' Unfortunately, more than half of them fall to their deaths. But they always say, die doing what you love best.
