On the last weekday of my vacation between the holidays I decided to go to the local Mennonite Bulk Food store and stock up my pantry!
I will be starting the January pantry challenge and needed to restock a few things plus it is such a fun store! It is a beautiful drive in the country to get there and I always enjoy it!
I hope you enjoy seeing what I purchased.

We have a Mennonite Discount Grocery store here where we live. It's called Shelters. We do the majority of our shopping there. When I go to the regular grocery I'm shocked by the prices. I truly enjoy shopping at the discount stores because it's always a surprise when you arrive and see what they have in stock. I enjoyed watching your video, you are such a sweet, warm soul. I remember when they were at their home. It was such a blessing to be able to shop there raising our family. It is still my favorite place to shop.

Great haul and that’s our favorite bacon and you got a steal on the bacon . Our bacon Mrs weight is $10-$13 if I’m not mistaken and some times $8.00 on sale.

@@pikecreekfarm your right sometimes the budget says no. I use bacon for Blts and in casseroles sometimes. But Mrs wrights is the best bacon.

Well I just knew off the bat what store this as 😉😆❤️I don’t live in the area but go there quite often. I’ve shopped there when the the lower farm cities started selling out & building subdivisions & huge homes!!!! Unfortunately my husband likes the semi city life burble was born & raised on the farm so you can take girl off the farm but can’t take the farm out of the girl! I’m 60 now but I still can and keep a freezer full of meat I buy from farmers up your way!!! My husband now regrets he didn’t listen to me & wished we could move north well unfortunately it’s not possible in these times!!! But I have children who do live in the area & have raised their families there and they shop that store as well!!! Love love love the owner & Gia family!!! Good people!!! 👍

They are wonderful people and their employees too! There is another place just north-Outback Meat that is really great too and they opened a restaurant. I have lived up here for year and four years ago bought our place in the country. It wasn't easy to find a place with a little acreage. We love it it.

I shop there once a quarter to get my staples as well. The spice isle is my absolute favorite. That chocolate milk is absolutely delicious. The Dairy in Mio has a little shop in town as well, but we only visit that area once a year.

Nice haul I do most of my shopping at a small Mennonite road side stand they have produce lunch meats and regular meat cereal grains and just about everything and dairy and ice cream

They have most things here too. There is a Mennonite meat market down the road too. I like their specials too. Plus there is an Amish store for boots and supplies and food

I love the beef and cheese we stop in Ithaca and buy them at the gas station for 5.00 smaller than that but boy are they good.

Looks like a wonderful store to have close-by. Good for you for cooking after all that shopping, repackaging and putting away! Some times that's hard for me because I'm pooped! If it interests you to film it, I'd enjoy seeing how you organize your pantry/pantries.

What an incredible grocery haul! We have a Mennonite Farm about 20 miles away. I've only been to their farm stand in the summer for fresh veggies, but not to their store. I will someday... I can't get over the prices. So inexpensive compared to the regular store prices. You did great!!! Thanks for sharing, Renee 😊

I am about a half hour or so. I go two or three times a year. Have you gone to Outback Meat just down the road? It is Mennonite owned too

Amazing haul!! I love to bake, and bake a lot of our own bread, etc. That King Arthur flour was a total bargain!!! (I’m curious…how do you know it’s King Arthur if it’s put into a plastic bag?) I need to find a store like this, I live in the Midwest…any ideas on how you find them? Also, have you noticed a price increase at the Mennonite store like we’ve seen at the regular grocery store? lol, Braunschweiger, that brings back memories…German mother, we ate that all the time instead of bologna. She also taught me a lot of frugal tips from her life experience of born in the Depression and growing up thru WWII. She saved everything, and stretched everything (even tho my parents worked very hard and money wasn’t scarce.) Thanks for sharing! Any advice from above would be appreciated!

I am not sure how you find these stores, they sure are gems. Maybe there is a Facebook group? They get the really big bags of all the different types and brands of flour and repackage in the plastic bags. Those girls in the back are busy!!! I am going to have to go back after to pantry challenge to stock up again 😂

It is off m-46 between M-53 and M-19. The town would be considered Snover. It is on Germania Rd

Sorry for the late reply. Suttons Daze Canaury is over taking my utube!😅 I appreciate you and thank you for sharing! I am far north but will make it a point to go there at some point. I love taking drives that are the same costs as mini vacation, after gas, stops and then the shops! I will definitely be shopping there.❤ and bringing coolers!!! I will tell them YOU SENT ME!!
