Epic Microlight Adventure: Ultralight Camping with Friends at Stoke Golding Airfield

Join me and my mate Giles Fowler as we pack our flexwing SSDR microlight / ultralight aircraft full with camping gear and fly to Stoke Golding for an overnight trip.
We were treated to our very own personalised air show set against a stunning sunset and the sunrise the following morning was just as breath-taking.
I'll show you what you need to pack and just how easily it can be stowed away into a Flylight trike. I'll also explain why fly camping or "Flamping" is just so cool.

Nice video Paulie. Cool that you had GF22 along. What engine do you have on your Bivvybee? I may have asked this before, but hey…I’m old!

Hi Tom. Thanks for watching. The engine is a Cors-Air BlackBull. It’s 235cc single cylinder 2 stroke putting out 33BHP, so a bit bigger than Giles’s motor. I’m crackin’ on a bit too so fully appreciate a senior moment. 👍

Max total weight I can carry is 150kg which includes pilot and fuel. Absolutely no more Doner Kebab flavoured pot noodles though. You weren’t kidding! They are bloody hot🥵 X

Is that your MAUW? I think my Adam wing is 190kg, which as mine is a sub-70, gives me about 30kg of baggage allowance! Is that better than Ryanair? 😂@@paulieb796
