thanks for sharing your adventures of the uintahs. brought back so many memeories of my time in those mtns. glad y'all got to experience the monsoonal rain storms. ive been hiking in 80deg weather to being snowed on in the same day. one of utahs most scenic adventures

Working on editing tonight. We had a several hour power outage thanks to a snowstorm, but we’re back in the saddle! Thanks for the support and can’t wait to see what you think of the land speed racing content. 💪🏼

This video helped me choose the tent I'm buying this year. Me and my daughters family went camping last year, I was a day behind her. She got downpours her 1st night, everything soaked. We live in UPSTATE New York, NO where near SH1THOLE L1BERAL city!!!!

That mountain range will likely mean rain everyday- so your expedition thoughts are valid. We had to rain gear up every day. Thanks for the comment and your support!

RainX works great on plastic windshield as well, I put several coats on my SxS windshield before going out.

Great tip. I have used it on our cars, I always forget to apply it to our UTV. I’ll have to add that to our checklists in my book when I do a second edition…

Another great video !! We have another trip to Iron River in June. We started using GMRS radios for group rides because of poor cell reception in some places.

Thanks for the support! On this trip we had 1.5 bars of cell coverage on one mountain top and when we were at the restaurant near flaming gorge and that was it. Kinda loved it though!

We’ve been looking at this tent, and watching it get through that storm has sold us! Did you add any waterproofing to it on your own or is it just stock? Thanks for the great videos.

It held up great. We had a little seepage through the floor but we were basically in a stream for a couple hours. We did not add any water proofing. It kept us pretty dry - I was impressed!

as usual, a great video Adrian. You guys are tough, and so are the kids, my hats off to you. Question, what radio band do you recommend? I installed the Rugged Radio Intercom, and have leaned toward GMRS over Business Band. The Rugged Radio Intercom plugs directly into their mobile radios (a nice feature). The RR headphones do wonders for the engine noise above 35-45 mph.

Thanks! Appreciate it! I would go GMRS, it’s what we have. You need to go online and get an FCC license but it’s just paying for the permit really nothing else to it. GMRS has more power than MURS or FRS so you’ll get better range. We’ve actually been thinking about another intercom system. Ours has been alright but the headsets don’t fit well in the kids new helmets and we’ve been getting a lot of interference noise lately… we may be looking at a Rugged Radio system in the future.

Ours has worked perfectly since I installed it. I bought the noise filter that RR sells, but never needed it. They also recommended wiring it directly to the battery to prevent a 'ground loop", but I wired it to the Polaris Buss Bar so it powers down with the key. That also has not caused any problems. May have to wire the radio power as Rugged recommends, we will see. Oh I already got the GMRS license.

Thanks! Held up really good. Minor seepage through the floor where we were standing and a couple drips - but this was “go build an Ark” kind of rain. Our tent was basically pitched in the middle of a stream 😂 I genuinely was impressed how well it did and I’ve been camping in tents all my life.

Storage. We have the upper vinyl door halves but there’s just no place to put them. So they either have to stay on and it’s really hot in nice weather, or we have to deal with the elements. We figure part of the adventure is dealing with the elements!

kinda late to the video not sure if u will see this queation but what kind of milage do u get in ur general ? and how much extra fuel do u carry to extend ur range ?

Depends on how we’re riding, 15 is pretty common. High RPMs, going up mountains obviously reduces it. When we top off the tank, we can fit about 10 gal in the tank, so we figure 130 miles on a tank is pretty safe, and I’m pretty sure we’ve gone at least 150 without running out of fuel. We carry two, 3 gallon RotoPax Jerry cans. So with those 6 gal, that should give us a comfortable range of about 200 miles, probably more like 220-240 though I don’t like to push my luck! 😆
