Enjoyed the video and seeing such fabulous severums ; I have five 8 inch severums ( 4 golden and 1 green) which spawn regularly and their colours are a match for discus anyday. I have been going to Pier ever since it first opened, their selection of fish is jaw dropping. Hope your health is still improving and I send my warmest wishes- take care 👍👍

I’ve never really been into Severums mate , I like the predator fish like jags , Red Devil’s, red terrors and green terrors which I keep at the moment , but I must admit that the colours on those sevurums are beautiful. 👍

Great video. I have recently got my first sevs... A curare and what I think is an appendiculatus, and also got mine from Pier. Would love to see some footage of these fish to be able to get a better view of what mine will grow in to - particularly the appendiculatus, as the curare is quite clear in this video.

Your friend has great taste. I’m upgrading to a 210g and considering mixing my 27 clowns with my 4 severums. I want more severums but I just want 1 of each. Heh. Love the vid ty so much for sharing !

Just found your channel and am really enjoying it! I do have a question about your friend's tank: why no substrate? Don't the loaches (as well as the bacteria) prefer it? Anyway, good work and thanks from Oregon!

Excellent video again mate. We are so lucky to have pier around the corner. I was invited to a group in Mexico once as they wanted to see our fish. We have better fish than they can get hold off. Its crazy. Your looking better as well which is good to see

My experience with Sevs.. severums are all talk and not much bite. Deffinetly not wussies, they will challenge others despite obviously losing for the 100th time. Deffinetly wanted to live a solitary life and was generally shy loving curious and quite the tank decorator

I got four severuns two in two separate aquriums. The red shoulder is barely growing while the green, turquoise and yellow are growing fine. Are red shoulder slower growers. The red shoulder is very shy.

I believe the Red Shoulders are a slower grower than the others

Nice video mate not natural enough for me well as natural looking as you can get in a glass box (ie tiled bottom no veggitation ect)but the sevs do look sunning keep them coming 👍

My adult pair of gold,green and liberifer all had live plants in and was spawning theres videos on my youtube channel of the liberifer and young with live plants can be done just depends on how its setup and the individual fish none of mine ever touched plants where my angels loved to rip them up

Its a Red Tiger Sev but they are also called Curare Sevs

They get really well quaranteed by the right shops so it's important that we get them from the right places

Can someone help me, my pair keeps eating their fry and I found out it's only the mother doing it, so I Separate them the male is with the fry, so my question is will the male take care of the eggs by his self or will I have to put the eggs in a tank by their selves

Nice fish. I just personally don't dig the mixing of fish from different continents i.e. the clowns in there. Could have geos in there taking their place instead(with sand of course).

@@bigfishlad4847 right now I have a green severum, electric blue acara, blood parrot, firemouth, 12 colombian tetra, 3 pictus catfish, and a dwarf cuckoo catfish, how much more do you think I could add? I have a fluval fx4 and 207 for filtration

Depends on which Sevs I reckon because the Rotkiel only get to about 8 inches where as the Red Tigers get to about 11 inches

I had in mind a mix like 2x red spot gold, red shoulder and a few other rare ones when I can get hold of them like 6-8 in total I had in mind with odd bottom dweller

They say it's 'grim up north' but if you have shops like Pier aquatics then I think they're lying haha, I've never seen red tiger severums for sale where I am so I think it's 1-0 to you!
