There are three types of racquet smashes .1. Where the racquet is just thrown on the ground in anger but taking care that it does not get damaged (Nishikori type). 2. When player smashes the racquet non stop till the racquet gets destroyed (Medvedev, Djokovic, Zverev, Tsitsipas type). 3. The racquet is first smashed mercilessly on court and then broken into two pieces with the help of the knee (Wawrinka type).

It’s pretty good emotional control but it doesn’t work for everybody. Most people need to let out emotions, nothing wrong with smashing a racket
@zencosuzuki8496
@zencosuzuki8496 2 жыл бұрын
@@tnuyx9405 Not "it doesn't work for everybody" , only not everybody works on themselves. Moreover, the racket was definitely to blame, so it must be destroyed 👏. They tame aggression on the court. We will see what they will do next. Rackets breaking is now normal for many fans. Not for me. I don't like watching aggressors on the court. Tennis is too beautiful to see such pictures. If anyone can't lose at court , it is a sign of his mental weakness.
@tnuyx9405
@tnuyx9405 2 жыл бұрын
@@zencosuzuki8496 for most people it’s unhealthy to keep emotions bottled up. Basic psychology. So best to release emotions, and breaking rackets is a harmless way to do it. And would you call Djokovic mentally weak? Or Wawrinka? They both break rackets but are very tough, Djokovic is the mentally toughest in history
@zencosuzuki8496
@zencosuzuki8496 2 жыл бұрын
@@tnuyx9405 You just answered your own questions. " Djokovic is the mentally toughest in history". Hehe, you made my day. I could especially see it during the Olympic match against Zverev, if I am not wrong. And what happened in US Open 2020 after the match with Carreno Busta? He could hurt someone and even kill him with a ball. So he was disqualified. So it's not only my opinion. I remember Na Li who said, the racket was her friend and wouldn'I smashing it. She was really mentally strong. You can express your emotions in other ways , f.ex. by shouting. Destroying rackets is a primitive way.

the players were just like the kids who worked their ass of so now they can afford breaking the rackets and buying new ones~ the kids can rich the level with hard work as well; it's a racket and it's their racket so they can do whatever they want with it~ people need to stop making it as they killed someone
@ggt4437
@ggt4437 2 жыл бұрын
@@heizeking3557 I'm not saying they didn't work hard ofc they did its just most of these pros were fortunate enough to have families that could afford the coaching required to be a pro and have the misfortune of living near a prestigious tennis club or just decent quality tennis courts in general. I'm on about the kids who aren't as fortunate and would love to be able to play tennis and afford a tennis racket. We shouldn't teach younger players that it's okay to smash rackets it's just a waste of equipment we should be teaching them how to control these emotions and use them in their game again Rafa is a great example of this.
@heizeking3557
@heizeking3557 2 жыл бұрын
@@ggt4437 not all of them were that fortunate tho, many of their families suffered a lot and went throught a lot to allow their kids to be able to train, and many had to move away to other places because they didn;t live next to decent quality tennis courts~ many of these pros were in depts and borrowed money to get here

@@heizeking3557 first of all, these pros don't pay a cent for their rackets. secondly, exactly these players who have worked their asses off should be aware of the value a racket had in their youth. just because they now earn a lot of money and get the rackets for free, is it legitimate to destroy them? yes, they can decide for themselves what they do with their work equipment, but your argumentation is really stupid.
