This was supposed to be a nice simple Trail ride to a Mine...It turned into the ride to Hell and back!

May I ask what setup you're using to capture your voice so well while riding? Audio is awesome
@RobFarrowATV
@RobFarrowATV 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Kyle! Hero 4 with and external mic...drilled a hole for the mic plug into a waterproof housing, made it tight so it's about 98% watertight. I fell in a creek over my head and submerged the cam and got a little water in the case but not in the cam. I've gone thru lots of mics and recently the plug inlet failed and muffled the sound for a couple rides. Bought another hero 4 and back in business...I like this setup although with my other helmet setup it's a little to close to my mouth and you get heavy breathing! LOL!

You need some battery operated SawZaws with pruning saw blades and keep it with you go 4 wheeling. They work great guys and a small shovel for digging down around small trees 🌳 cut low to the ground and cover up stubbs with dirt so they punch holes in tires . Sawzall is quite and fast .

@RobFarrowATV
@RobFarrowATV 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Man! Depends on what kind of trails you're looking for...lots of logging and backroads around that make good rides! The old Grand Trunk Rail Line is a really nice ride, you can go all the way to the Silver Dollar north of Ignace! From my place I can ride backroads to Shabaqua and then across to almost Quetico, black top to Sapawe and backroads across to Graham and then back down the Rail Line home...about 750kms of dirt and maybe 40kms of black top! You can also take Hwy 527 to Escape or Magone Road and cut across to dorion and then back across the Dorion cut and back down 527. Check out google earth and link up some backroads, lots of them out there! Congrats on the new ride, Happy Trails!

Looks like a blast!! Fellow ATV riders are hard to find these days. Everyone has a SxS and wants to get drunk and dig ruts with them instead of “ ride”. Riding is just something they do between beer and booze breaks. Now your group....that’s what you call a group of RIDERS 👍🏼. I got a Polaris 400 2 stroke I been fixing up. I always wanted a 2 stroke plus it’s 4x4. Here in Kentucky we been getting into old school vintage stuff again. That and #savesportquads. Group of guys here trying to revive the sport quads again. Of course with my scrambler I got the best of sport and 4wd 😎. Btw...what state are you guys in?? Looks like Pacific Northwest?? I’d love to go out west sometime. I’ve never seen the Rocky Mountains before. EDIT: you sound like Canadians. Am I right ? 👍🏼

Scotian is correct.... Kind of the whole point of having racks and beds! To bring what you need. It's harder to find alternative paths with quads, better to have something to easily clear that level of debris. 7:41... his whole back rack free..... 8:24... Another full rack free.... 8:34... Pretty big area free in that bed... 8:55... Plenty of room..... Friend of mine packed in a chainsaw in a backpack riding a mountain bike so we could clear out a mountain bike trail. Pretty sure it's a lot less room in that pack then what's available on those four quads.

Subscribed. Someone in your crew needs to start bringing a chainsaw and a gallon of bar oil with a small gas can. That could taken 1/20th the time. Also, you dont have to cut them all. Dont be afraid to pull them off the trail with your winch. I'll often hook onto a tree" drag it to the side and wack off enough limbs to get by. Only takes a quick second. And beats cutting everything up. Nice video! Thank you Sir!!

Why don't you cut trees safely? You leave a lot of traps for those who follow you. For those who will go after you! In Russia it is so unacceptable. This poses a serious danger. Trees and bushes need to be cut across the width of the road! Without sharp corners directed in any direction of movement. This is not the law of the state, this is elementary logic!
@RobFarrowATV
@RobFarrowATV 4 жыл бұрын
This is not an official trail, it's an old logging road that barely anyone uses...you cut what you need to get thru. It would take us a week to clean out that road...we would clean it better if we were to use it a lot but we only use it maybe once every two years!
